I/R cameras are essential for making quick and precise decisions that can make a real impact. They can spot all sort of things even in the dark or when visibility is low, which makes them really useful across different industries. S/o to Tulsa Aeromet’s BD and IRAD teams at L3Harris Technologies for a successful demonstration event with MatrixSpace! As the weaponization of consumer drones and advanced unmanned systems continue to evolve, UAS TRACER is pushing the boundaries of UAS detection, tracking, and recognition—serving as a key software enabler for automated situational awareness and counter-UAS defense. As an SE, my work on UAS TRACER has focused on developing a digital model within Cameo that provides comprehensive technical context to the software. As the model evolves it will tell the story of the system’s behavior capturing functional workflows and interactions, the physical composition defining hardware and infrastructure components, and the structural architecture mapping the relationships and architecture of the system’s components. Ultimately, the model will enhance traceability, design integrity, and system-level understanding—enabling more robust development and alignment with UAS detection and tracking capabilities.
