I attended this insightful webinar last week on political violence, featuring insights from the Chicago Project on Security and Threats and The Brennan Center. It was a great conversation that laid out eye-opening data about the current threat environment in the political space. I found this not only helpful as an election official but also as a citizen trying to make sense of today's world. It’s not all doom and gloom though—there are reasons to be optimistic. Key takeaways included the growing partnerships and information sharing between election professionals, non-profits, and academic institutions, which are bolstering resilience across the board. A big shout-out to The Elections Group for facilitating these critical conversations and continuing to bring us together. 💡
Register and join us on September 20th and 12pm EDT for a webinar focusing on political violence trends, research, and protections. This webinar will feature presentations from Robert Pape who is a professor of political science at the University of Chicago and director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST), and Jasleen Singh who is counsel for the Brennan Center for Justice's Democracy Program. The Elections Group's President Noah Praetz will join as a host. Follow the link to register today! https://lnkd.in/gjzSFyuq
