💔 Reflecting on My Journey as a Deaf Student 💔 Forty years ago, I navigated school without access to a BSL interpreter until college (1978-1995). The reality of being deaf in a system that didn’t prioritize accessibility was challenging. I often felt isolated and struggled to engage with my peers and teachers. It’s a reminder of how crucial it is to advocate for inclusivity in education. Everyone deserves the chance to learn and grow in an environment where they feel supported.
