😩 Ever built something at home and ended up with spare parts? One of the best ways we make sure we have all the parts in the right spot is to organize them before we start reassembly. Extensive notes, pictures, and equipment manuals help ensure the right parts are in the right place with the proper clearances. #electromechanical #electromechanicalrepair #getitdone

Megger Test of motor winding. Equipment Needed: - Megger insulation tester - Personal protective equipment (PPE) - Test leads Procedure: 1. Preparation: - Disconnect the motor from the power supply. - Isolate the motor from all connected circuits. 2. Visual Inspection: - Check for visible damage, wear, or signs of moisture. 3. Connect Megger: - Connect one lead to a motor winding terminal. - Connect the other lead to the motor frame or ground. 4. Set Test Voltage: - Set the Megger to a test voltage appropriate for the motor, typically 500V. 5. Conduct the Test: - Press the test button and hold for at least 1 minute. - Record the insulation resistance value displayed. 6. Test Other Windings: - Repeat the test for each winding and between different windings as needed. 7. nterpret Results: - A reading above 1 MΩ is usually acceptable. - Lower values may indicate insulation failure or contamination. 8. Post-Test Procedures: - Carefully disconnect the Megger leads. - Restore connections to the motor. - Document results for maintenance records. Safety Precautions: - Ensure the area is dry. - Use PPE and follow electrical safety protocols. #Meggertest #electrical #insulation #engineers #motor #engineering #megger

Can all test personnel and in fact any employee involved in the torquing of 8mm coaxial locknuts (typically Part No. 1400-5016-8) please note that in order to obtain the correct locking torque (1.00 Newton-meters ) the handle on the supplied calibrated spanners must be gripped at the silver/blue decal section marked F. The tightening of apparatus in any other method 'chokes' the spanner equipment giving a torque value less than that stipulated. Please read and follow the operating instructions supplied in every wrench packet upon unpackaging or make yourself known to an Engineering Technician if further training is required, The company acknowledges that our Engineering dept. has no clue how to use this apparatus either. The company is aware that, in its approximately30 operational history no Space Qualified coaxial locknut or 8mm SMA / PC 3.5 series connector for that matter, has been tightened to satisfactory torque levels ever, but we've got away with it so far and **** all has fallen out of the sky so far. but better to close the stable door after the horse...oh forget it... whatever... do what you like... Thank you #esaSPACE

Bench maintenance is essential to ensure that equipment is always ready for use again in a future. It involves disassembling, repairing, and testing components like motors, pumps, and pneumatic cylinders. Proper maintenance enables quicker repairs for future failures due to the availability of tested spare parts in stock, minimizing downtime and acquisition costs. #IndustrialMaintenance #SeekingOpportunityAbroad #MaintenanceTechnician
