Robotics company ANYbotics has secured an additional $60 million, bringing its Series B funding round to $110 million. This follows an initial $50 million raised 18 months ago. Founded in 2016 as a spin-out from Swiss ETH Zurich, the company develops "Anymal," a quadruped autonomous inspection robot equipped with sensors and cameras for industrial monitoring. It aids in tasks like detecting thermal anomalies, identifying combustible gas, and automating inspections in hazardous or complex environments to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Since the initial Series B funding, Anybotics has doubled its sales, deploying nearly 200 robots across industries such as oil and gas, mining, power, utilities, and metals. Clients include Novelis, IAMGOLD Corporation,, and Stanford University. Customers typically deploy fleets of robots, with some orders reaching up to 20 units. With this new funding, Anybotics, which has raised $130 million in total, plans to scale globally and expand its U.S. presence, leveraging its recently opened San Francisco office. The company chose to classify this as a Series B extension, focusing on scaling operations, with a Series C round anticipated in 2026 to target broader growth and new applications. This funding round was co-led by Qualcomm Ventures and #SupernovaInvest, alongside participation from existing and new investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, NGP Capital, Swisscanto Fund Management Company Ltd. #SwisscomVentures, TDK Ventures, and #WaldenCatalyst. #robotics #aiforall #aiinvestment #roboticsinvetment
