#Update The Government of India has approved new Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) schemes to evacuate 9 GW of renewable energy (RE) from Rajasthan and Karnataka, as part of its goal to achieve 500 GW of RE capacity by 2030, with 200 GW already connected. These schemes will be implemented through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for cost efficiency and transparency. The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) will transfer 4.5 GW of RE power to Uttar Pradesh, harnessing potential from the Fatehgarh (1 GW), Barmer (2.5 GW), and Nagaur (Merta) (1 GW) complexes. The Global Renewable Energy Investors meet (RE-INVEST) held in Gujarat brought together key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector to showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
