At their AGM last night Transport Women Australia Limited added four new Board Members, Loretta Hartley of Toowoomba, Claudia Foini and Ainsleigh Thomas of Sydney and Katrina Burns of Melbourne. They also said goodbye to Jo Hansen of Brisbane after one year on the Board. Jo has unfortunately been unwell throughout the year and TWAL thanks her for her valued service. She has been in the transport insurance industry for approximately 12 years and is a long-term member of the TWAL team. She is currently a member of the Social Media Subcommittee. Claudia Foini is the DXT NSW State Manager (Doble Express Transport) based in Sydney, she has 22 years of transport experience, has been a volunteer in our schools and careers initiative and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Ainsleigh Thomas is the NSW/ACT State Linehaul Manager for Startrack – NSW/ACT Operations. Ainsleigh was a 2023 TWAL Driving the Difference scholarship recipient, the inaugural TWAL 2024 Young Gunnette award Winner and a 2024 Road Freight NSW Emerging Leader finalist. Katrina Burns is the State Manager VIC/TAS for Silverback Cargo Care, she has been in the transport and logistics industry for 12 years and was named as the VTA 2018 Young Achiever of the Year at the Australian Freight Industry Awards. These four directors will join with the five current directors to form the largest board to have taken command of Transport Women Australia Limited and will allow the organisation to continue its growth and produce further projects and initiatives to add ongoing value to present and future members. TWAL this year became a member of the ATA, continued its partnerships with Linfox, Prime Creative Media - Publishing and Viva Energy Australia and partnered with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds Heads in Trucks and Sheds as well as embedding its membership of both the National Rural Womens Coalition, (Jacquelene is Vice President), and the Australian Gender Equality Council. #transportwomen #twal #drivingthedifference #livingthedream #creatingconnections #dreammaker #dreamaccelerator #womeninleadership
