What do you get when you mix Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Batman, Sherlock Holmes, and Papillon on Batman's soundtrack? That's the editing challenge given to me by the conductor Nathalie Muspratt to tease the film concert of the Corps Musical Nivellois, which will take place in 2025. For this montage, I first tried to find all the excerpts in each film that could overlap: either by a movement, an object, a reaction, an emotion... A complex exercise that required over 20 hours of editing for 5 minutes of video, and loads of fun along the way! So, do you like the result? 😊 Want more? To counter this, I try to treat the story like a real film and break it into multiple "scenes" (usually accomplished through musical shifts).
