Cover for my new book, due out with Routledge early next year. If you can't wait for that, my PhD thesis came off embargo today (linked). It covers the same material, it's just a little less polished and has all the methodology and literature review material expected of a thesis. The opening three chapters have been rewritten for the book to focus more tightly on the subject matter. https://lnkd.in/dFbUNZX5

Book: This Will Make You Smarter This thought-provoking book is a must-read for anyone looking to expand their scientific knowledge and challenge their thinking. "This Will Make You Smarter" features short yet insightful essays, some of which are shorter than a single page, covering a range of interesting concepts and insights. Whether you're a seasoned researcher or just starting to explore the world of science, this book is sure to leave you with plenty to ponder. The best compilation of essays on scientific concepts and the importance of critical thinking I have read to date. Unusual book series from my personal library of 427 books. If you're a PhD scholar submitting a book chapter, be aware that one poorly written or inaccurate chapter can prevent the entire book from being indexed. Book chapters require significant effort, and the chances of indexing are slim. There’s no guarantee that your chapter or the book will be indexed, so it's essential to maintain the highest standards in every contribution. Relying solely on book chapter submissions and waiting for indexing is risky, as the outcome is uncertain.

About to begin a new book to feed two of my key interests: science fiction and speculative thinking about the future of our biosphere. And a side-serving of espresso. With thanks to Joshua Stanley for the recommendation.

I strongly suggest reading this enlightening book on the history of language and its complexity in the brain. It honors the originality and significance of prominent authors in the field, incorporating numerous quotations and images from their original works. The author offers insightful interpretations while carefully citing original sources. This book is a key reminder of the need to understand our scientific history,.
