This week, we had the pleasure of receiving heartwarming feedback from Adam Walker, VP APAC at Avature, following successful TALiNT Partners events, and our recent Leadership Summit held in Melbourne on June 20th. Adam's message not only highlighted the tangible outcomes of our collaboration but also underscored the deep, personal connections we strive to foster with each of our partners, as mentioned here with Adam's collaborative relationship to Kris Clelland, Managing Director APAC. Here's a glimpse into Adam's thoughts: ❝ There seems to be an increasingly diverse and growing array of options to invest events and marketing/business development – I’m constantly receiving approaches for new and old offerings – but we all have finite time and money. Our recent event with TALiNT partners was cost effective, but also very targeted and successful, with a number of new leads already translating into validated pipeline activity. The success, I think, came from the more personalised nature of the events, with a curated audience targeting the type of organisation and attendee that fits our typical client profile. Additionally, the style of event is important for me personally and as a business; whilst Avature is an awesome product it’s not about our talent technology and certainly not about me as a representative, but about what we can offer to each individual in the audience. Kris and the TALiNT team worked collaboratively with us to craft and refine all themes and messaging for our events, providing something to all the attendees that they can use in their day-to-day work. The results have been great – we had a number of people approach us directly after our panel discussions to ask for more information, resulting in the leads mentioned previously. Equally as importantly is that the event helped to position our offering in the market appropriately, further building our brand awareness in the APAC market. From a leadership perspective we also appreciate the flexibility of TALiNT and the team – we were able to work towards a number of options (we have more coming up) that fit into our budget and calendar whilst utilising and accessing their extensive contacts and of course event expertise. ❞ This feedback is a testament to our commitment to not just meeting, but exceeding the expectations of our clients by deeply understanding and integrating their needs into our strategic approach. Here’s one thing we know to be unwelcome in many communities… Pitching. Before you go key-board warrior on us on how important the art of pitching is and how it is essential for a smaller company to know how to do it, trust us, we know! So, what are we talking about here? You will never catch us walking into a room and pushing ourselves onto others. We don’t even let people within our community pitch themselves. Now, that does not mean that we do not uplift our members or that we do not help each other grow our own businesses, because we do! We have member spotlights that highlight each individual member and what they do. We encourage our members to connect with one another to collaborate and to give referrals to one another. Our members travel to each other’s monthly events to experience each other’s thought leadership and insane business brilliance. They answer questions in public forums when asked and and showcase their genius for the community to see. But that is the difference between us and other networks. Our members refer each other to connections that will turn into clients because we do not do superficial relationships and our members know and understand each other and who will fit them and their business. Members have referred to The Advance as their business family because that is what we are! We are a community of high-level leaders that are looking to elevate - not pitch - ourselves. We are not a community of people looking for their next sale. Connect, Collaborate, Transform Whenever I spend time with our B&P partners, I’m reminded of the power of meaningful connections. Last week, during our Partner Meeting at Chiemsee, this was especially evident. We came together in a unique setting to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen bonds. It wasn’t just about strategy or goals; it was about connection—on a personal and professional level. These moments reminded me why we do what we do. Each partner brings something unique to the table—a story, an insight, a vision. Together, we challenge each other to grow, think bigger, and move forward. Did you know that only a small percentage of professionals truly leverage their networks? Many observe but don’t actively engage. Yet, it’s through conversations—both online and offline—that opportunities and collaborations emerge. I’ve seen this firsthand.
