🌿 Calling all nature enthusiasts! 🦎 As we approach the season of newt migration (and frogs & toads for that matter), let's come together to ensure the safe journey of these incredible creatures to their breeding grounds. Here's how you can help without breaking any laws on these protected species: 1. **Observe from Afar:** Newts are sensitive to disturbance. Enjoy watching them from a distance to avoid causing stress during their migration. 2. **Hands Off, Please:** Resist the urge to handle newts. Touching them can transfer oils and chemicals from your skin, potentially harming them. Let them navigate their journey undisturbed. 3. **Roadside Assistance:** If you spot newts crossing roads, lend a helping hand without direct contact. Gently guide them in the direction they're headed, ensuring a safe passage to their destination. 4. **Educate Others:** Spread awareness about the importance of protecting newts and their habitats. Knowledge is a powerful tool in conservation. Let's celebrate and safeguard the beauty of our local wildlife! 🚫👐 #NewtConservation #WildlifeProtection #NatureLovers #marnelpark

Meet the Spotted Pardalote, one of Australia's smallest but most striking birds.🐦 Despite its small size, the Spotted Pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus) plays a significant role in our ecosystem by helping regulate insect populations, particularly psyllids and lerp-making insects. With its speckled crown, vibrant yellow throat and soft calls, this tiny bird is a frequent visitor to the landscapes of Greenfleet’s forests. They typically inhabit the canopy of tall eucalypts, where the dense foliage offers an ideal habitat, and find perfect nesting and foraging grounds across our Wurneet Laang Laang, Bromfields Road, Mount Emily, and Territory forests in Victoria's South Gippsland. Since 1997, Greenfleet has restored almost 11,000 hectares of native forests. These biodiverse forests are growing to provide safe havens for many Australian wildlife species, including some of the most threatened animals in Australia.🌳 To learn more about how the Spotted Pardalote and other native birds interact with some of our forests, visit: https://lnkd.in/ggzwC4-Q #GrowingHope #Reforestation #WildlifeHabitat #NativeBirds

Wildlife Corridors: Pathways to Preservation and Biodiversity 🌿 Wildlife corridors are nature's highways, allowing animals to move freely across landscapes, preventing habitat fragmentation, and promoting genetic diversity. These essential pathways are vital for the survival and prosperity of various species, providing them with access to food, water, and breeding grounds🌳🐘 Wildlife corridors offer numerous benefits. They increase #geneticdiversity by enabling animals to travel between isolated populations, which reduces the risk of inbreeding. These corridors also assist species in adapting to #climatechange by offering routes to more suitable habitats. Additionally, they minimize human-wildlife conflicts by providing safe passages away from human settlements, resulting in fewer encounters and incidents. Christmas Island has played a crucial role in creating key wildlife corridors worldwide. Their initiatives include the #Yellowstone to Yukon (Y2Y) corridor, the #AmazonBasin corridor, which ensures the survival of numerous species in one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, and the Albertine Rift corridor, which protects the habitats of #endangered mountain gorillas🌲🐻 Supporting #wildlifecorridors is vital for preserving our planet's #wildlife. 🐾 Donate to conservation groups, join habitat restoration projects, spread awareness, and advocate for protective policies. Let's ensure our majestic creatures can roam freely and thrive for generations! 💚 #biodiversity #wildlife #wildlifeconservation #nature #protectWildlife #sustainability #greenFuture #biodiversityconservation #esg #esgbites

🏆 Success Story: The Revival of the Humpback Whale 🐋 Humpback whales were once hunted to near extinction, but international conservation efforts have significantly increased their numbers. The 1986 International Whaling Commission moratorium and the establishment of marine protected areas have been crucial in their recovery. This success story shows the power of coordinated global efforts in wildlife conservation. 🌍🐳 Population Increase: Since the moratorium, the population of humpback whales has rebounded from a few thousand to over 80,000 worldwide (IWC). Marine Protected Areas: The creation of marine protected areas, like the Hawaiian Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, has provided safe habitats for breeding and feeding (NOAA). Community Involvement: Local communities have been involved in conservation efforts, such as whale watching tourism, which supports both conservation and local economies (WWF). #ClimateChange #WildlifeConservation #Sustainability #SaveOurPlanet #Biodiversity #EnvironmentalAwareness #GlobalWarming #ProtectNature #ConservationEfforts #SustainableFuture 🌍 The Future Founders Co.

Celebrate US National Wildlife Day! Join us in recognizing and protecting the incredible wildlife that calls our country home. Let's raise awareness, take action, and make a difference for our furry and feathered friends. Together, we can ensure a thriving future for all. #NationalWildlifeDay #ProtectOurWildlife #JoinTheCause As of 2023, the United States is home to a vast array of wildlife, with approximately 432 species of mammals, over 800 species of birds, and 300 species of reptiles. Despite conservation efforts, nearly 1,300 species are currently listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. If this is indeed true that is very frightening as it includes almost all of our wildlife! The U.S. also faces significant challenges from habitat loss, climate change, and invasive species, which continue to impact the health and diversity of its ecosystems. Conservation programs remain critical in protecting these species and preserving the nation's rich biodiversity.

In cohesion as we celebrate World Wildlife Day with a resounding theme “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation.” allows me to expound my thoughts 💭 ,ideas ,feelings and experiences that might be useful in rehabilitation, restoration and regeneration of our wild parks and its environs. Allow yourself to engage in caring for the wildlife as you expect them to show up when you need to satisfy your safari checklist. As i recently visited Amboseli National Park,I realized that we have very high expectations when visiting the wild by hoping to spot all the animals.Truth be told as we are all experiencing #climatecrisis and complaining of how we are suffering and we brought the suffering to ourselves, now the animals are suffering more because we are supposed to take care of the planet for both people and animals to live happily and promote biodiversity. Start encouraging yourself and purposing to throw and grow a @seedballskenya when you visit the wild soon. Also ask the #resort or #cottage your are staying at if you could plant a tree in there space. Lets all care for our lives, the animals lives, our #environment as we are all part of the #ecosystem. Its a collective responsibility. #worldwildlifeday #toursandtravels #tourism #wildlifeconservation #wildlifeprotection #heritageconservation

🌸🐝 Buzzing Bee Swarms this World Bee day🐝🌸 We love that our reserve is a haven for all wildlife, including bees!!! These bees were seen swarming at our conservation centre a little while back. When bees move hives, they often take a rest stop on trees, forming what's known as a bee swarm. This fascinating phenomenon is a natural process in the life of a honey bee colony. Swarming can occur when a large group of honey bees leaves an established colony and flies off to establish a new colony, essentially creating two from one. Another cause can be that the colony has outgrown its current hive and living conditions have become unfavorable. Trees often provide a safe, temporary perch for swarms. The bees cluster around the queen, protecting her as scout bees fly out to find the perfect new hive location. This process can take a few hours to several days. Swarming bees are usually not aggressive. They're focused on protecting their queen and finding a new home. It's a rare and wonderful sight, so if you ever come across a swarm, enjoy watching nature at work. Bees are essential pollinators, playing a crucial role in our ecosystem. By understanding and respecting their swarming behavior, we can coexist peacefully and support their vital work in nature. #Bees #BeeSwarm #NatureLovers #Pollinators #EcoFriendly #worldbeeday #wildtomorrow #conservationmatters #BeeConservation #WildlifeConservation
