How we helped Matt grow his Amazon brand’s profits from 12% to 22% within the first 3 months My partner and I were able to grow two brands and exit them for almost an 8-figure check in less than four years. The hidden reason most Amazon agencies' clients lose money (despite great ROAS) Let me explain  Here's the hard truth I learned from both sides of the fence: Impressive ROAS doesn't mean profitable clients. Ignoring logistics is agency malpractice.The future belongs to full-stack Amazon agencies. CONTEXT: I've seen it all. First, building SellerApp (the major Amazon SaaS platform), now scaling AMZ Prep (the logistics side). Last week, I spoke with a $6.2M Amazon agency facing 12% client churn. Their story? All too common. THE AGENCY BLINDSPOT: • Killer ad performance • Best-in-class software stack • Skyrocketing sales for clientsSounds great, right? Wrong. Their clients were LOSING money.(Note: Some top-tier agencies serving major brands do excel here. But they're the exception, not the rule.) WHY AGENCIES FAIL THEIR CLIENTS: 1/ Tunnel Vision on Ads. Great ROAS looks sexy in reports. But if fulfillment costs are eating all the profits, who cares? 2/ Software Obsession. Agencies love shiny tools. But software can't fix broken operations. 3/ Ignoring the Supply Chain. Late shipments, stockouts, and FBA mistakes kill profits faster than any ad can generate them. 4/ Misaligned Incentives. Agencies get paid on ad spend or revenue. Not on client profitability. See the problem? THE AGENCY OF THE FUTURE: focuses on total profitability. Not just sales or ACOS/ROAS. Every dollar in AND out matters. Integrates Logistics. Either in-house or through deep partnerships. It's non-negotiable. Aligns Incentives. Gets paid on client profit, not vanity metrics. Bridges the Software-Ops Gap. Uses data to drive operational decisions, not just ad budgets. THE BOTTOM LINE: The era of the "ad-only" or "software-only" Amazon agency is over. The winners will be those who can tie it all together: ads, software, AND operations. I've stood on both sides of the Amazon fence. My view is crystal clear: Evolve or fade away. I don't know if this applies to other businesses as well, but I can't stand when people make generic statements as business advice. Someone who I actually think has a good profit software made a post that is not true in many instances. He was trying to tell people that cutting ad spend is not the correct way to deal with lower profits that Amazon sellers are seeing. Instead, he was encouraging people to look at other fees to cut cost and increase profit. Then he went into looking at refunds as an example of elsewhere a person could look to save costs and increase profits. Firstly, the statement has so many variables to it when it comes to Amazon that it can be false in many instances. Secondly, in Q4 when Amazon storage fees triple a strategy of raising prices and lowering ad spend with less FBA sent in could be a profit winning strategy for the right products. In this person I see two things as of lately. One, he is less focused on perfecting his software and more focused on marketing himself as the Profit Guru to push his software. I actually think he is very knowledgeable, but these general statements piss me off to no end. They are usually not true in every instance and can cause more harm than good for some people who blindly listen.

Lessons from Bezos Lots can be learned from the success of Amazon - 🙌 Meeting structure: memo based meetings and direct 15 minute one to ones deliver their purpose, keeping everyone up to date and heard and cut out wasting time. 🙌 Search: According to a recent survey 56% of initial product searches are done on Amazon, making it a search engine as well as shopping destination. Their finely tuned filters, product recommendations and wishlist's mean customers can find what they want easily, add that to Prime Delivery, subscriptions and one click checkout and they are a constant go to for those short on time for shopping. However, there are some things they are not so great at… and this seems like a great time to give you a friendly reminder to pay your tax bill by the 31st of January.
