Krug Champagne is renowned for its contribution to the innovation of champagne production. They were one of the first champagne houses to perfect the art of blending wines from different vineyard plots to create a more complex and balanced final product. This process is now common practice for the traditional winemakers of Champagne, as it ensures a high quality and consistency regardless of the success of the grape yield. Last week saw the release of Krug 2011, scoring 95/100 from critics. This high-scoring Champagne has already maintained Krug's reputation of being one of the world's best wine producers in the world. 📈 🍷 #vinx #finewine #alternativeinvestments #alternativeassets

Excellent and Free Course on the Wines of the Rhone Valley offered by Napa Valley Wine Academy in conjunction with Inter-Rhone. Intermediate level done in 4 parts that does nice coverage of Cotes du Rhone AOC, CDR Named Villages, the Crus of the CDR and Other AOC's of the Rhone Valley. You are awarded a Certificate upon successful pass of the final exam at three stages. Good news is that you have unlimited attempts. Lots of info is covered, so its good that they broke it down into 4 sections. Great way to learn about this important region and a fantastic review even if you think you know it. Do you know how many CDR Villages are allowed to append their names? How many Crus North and South in the CDR? The difference between Cotes du Rhone and the Rhone Valley? What types of wines are produced in each Cru or each of the Villages with DGC? If not, you will benefit from doing this course. Hop on the NVWA website https://lnkd.in/gmiG8gkV and check it out. Membership gives you access to even more study tool, video education, webinars, WSET helps and mock exams and a free Certification course of your choice for Napa Valley, Oregon, Argentina or American Wine.

What is all the fuss about Sine Qua Non? By 2008, 14 years after establishing as a winery, 7 of their wines had earned 100 points from Robert Parker Wine Advocate. Founded by Manfred Krankl, the Californian winery produces unique vintages in extremely small quantities. Each new vintage has a new name, a new label and often a new bottle shape. Some of my favourite names: 🐠 Piranha Waterdance 🧠 The 17th Nail In My Cranium 👢 Boots, Pasties, Scanty Panties, and A Ten Gallon Hat (pictured) Despite their high alcohol content, contrary to typical wine theory, they are known to age extremely well and are said to become spectacular after 12-20 ageing. 🍇 I’m still waiting on WineFi 🍷 to buy the team a bottle so we can find out ourselves. You’d think they’d have a perfect investment profile. Unique wines, cult following, highly rated, known for ageing well and grown in a recognised investment-grade wine region.

Thank you to Winston Art Group and Heritage Family Offices, LLP for an engaging evening discussing the intersection of wine, art, and collectibles. We delved into the wine markets and their collectible counterparts, focusing on three key concepts and their paired wine and art selections. 🍷 Bereche & Fils, a grower champagne, represents an emerging category with potential risks but significant upside. Notably, wines like Jacques Selosse have seen a remarkable 21% annual increase at auction over the last 5 years, making them appealing for The Cask100 Fund. 🍷 Ornellaia Serre Nuove exemplifies the middle market, showcasing the relative value of Italian wines, especially Super Tuscans. Despite recent market challenges, wines like the 2021 Ornellaia have seen a substantial 24% retail price increase since March. 🍷 Leoville Las Cases 'Clos du Marquis' symbolizes the traditional Bordeaux market, known for its history and stability. While these wines may not yield huge returns, they have demonstrated consistency. Despite a temporary drop post-Covid, Leoville Las Cases has seen an overall increase over the past 5 years. We are looking forward to more discussions in the future!
