Just be funnier!😂 CUMULUS MEDIA and Signal Hill Insights report highlights the importance of understanding the listener's experience in hearing a podcast ad and their unique stance on ads👂 First to consider is podcast listeners actually like listening to ads and supporting their favourite podcasters. Half of the weekly podcast listeners said they wouldn’t mind a few more ads per show if it meant their favourite podcast was able to continue. Secondly, listeners prefer host-read ads where the podcaster shows an emotion-based response where the podcaster can have fun with the ad. Don’t underestimate the connection listeners have to podcasters. They listen to them weekly and they are part of their routine. Giving the podcast host creative freedom to write the ad themselves is the key to getting the result you want from your ad. A new study by Acast just confirmed what many of us already suspected: podcast advertising is a *game-changer* for driving consumer behavior.
