for early-stage startups, warm intros tend to lead to false positives very, very rare for vision/reality to be aligned early on and at the proper depths regarding the target market OR the nuance of the problem almost always require visioning refinement and a shift into adjacencies warm conversations tend to default to kind chatter, which is interpreted as false momentum/validation, elongating the startup's journey down the wrong path and reducing ‘at bats'/bets with market it's far more deadly than discussed -- but, i get it generating conversations to learn is critical, BUT filtering who to learn from is crucial
