Advice for any team: having a culture of enthusiasm, encouragement, and energy makes a big difference in the workflow and cohesion! There will be some days it gets tough buidling, but it's important to remember why you started in the first place. Reminding your comrades how great they are, and can be, and reflecting on progress is healthy and keeps the momentum alive!

A quick thought on the importance of a well built team... Having a skilled and knowledgable team around you is one of the most important factors of success in the professional services industry. By having a solid network of colleagues who you can bounce ideas and plans off of or go to for a second opinion, you not only grow and absorb more information, but it gives your clients a more complete and wholesome service and experience. This leads to better business practice overall and an even more satisfied clientele. Many professionals focus on self development, as they should, but they neglect to focus on building up a team of surrounding help that can plug any gaps and even accentuate their strengths!

Building a team takes time, effort, and money, but it will become the greatest asset of the organization in the future. A team is a necessity.

Heard. Seen. Appreciated. Ask and we will tell. In 1:1, I would ask two questions everytime: 1. If you were me, what would you focus on that we currently aren’t as a team? 2. What do you believe I pay too much attention to? Now these questions only work if trust and respect is built and present. But they do work. What’s a question you ask in your 1:1?
