🤔 Here's a number that'll make your jaw drop: $1 trillion. That's right, with a "T". According to the World Health Organization (WHO), that's how much depression and anxiety are costing the global economy each year in lost productivity. Let that sink in for a moment- it doesn't have to be this way. * * * #AlternativeMedicine #EmployeeHealth #health #medicine #HealthyWorkspace #healtatwork #EmploeesHealth #startups #motivation #inspiration

Monday myth-busting time! Let's talk health equity However, sometimes there's confusion around it... 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟭: It's just about having access to healthcare. Nope! It's about knocking down all the barriers—social, economic, and environmental—that mess with health. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟮: Only impacts underserved communities. Actually, it affects us all. When anyone lacks access, everyone’s health can take a hit. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟯: Health equity's just a pipe dream. We can make it happen! By driving policy changes, building trust in communities, and focusing on long-term solutions, we can close these gaps. Health equity isn’t just a nice idea - it’s key for a fairer, healthier world. LAUNCHED TODAY HEALTH CREATION: FOR NOW AND FUTURE GENERATIONS - a Manifesto for whole system change https://lnkd.in/dhW59a-8 Developed with input from our members, the Manifesto lays out the compelling case for a fundamental shift to health creating health and care systems and relationships. Comprising eight sections, the Manifesto builds on the experience of many of our members and our eight years as the leading cross sector organisation for improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequity through Health Creation to: · make the case for deep systemic change · offer a ground-up change model and purposeful path to health creating services, systems and society · explain the core activities of an ICS that is working towards being a health creating system · give examples from our system work and members’ activity · invite everyone to be a change leader, creating conditions and removing barriers · encourage everyone to imagine how this might achieve a healthier, more equitable and more sustainable future for everyone It also breaks the big shift down into practical actions you can take: o Eight Personal Actions – things we can all do o Thirteen Calls to Action for ICSs – organisations, sectors and partnerships o Seven Asks of any new Government The Manifesto is for politicians, systems and individuals, because wherever we are in the system we have a role to play in creating the conditions for communities to create health.

This is such a useful model for any #entrepreneur or #intrapreneur targeting #health and #healthcare #innovation
CEO and Board Advisory for Digital Health, Health, Healthcare and Wellness organizations, especially focused on Innovation/ Technology for Healthy Aging and/or Vulnerable populations.
Adopting the "quintuple aim" framework could help drive greater adoption of #valuebased care in several key ways in US #health. Perhaps most importantly, it would expand the focus from just clinical outcomes and costs to also consider #patientexperience and #staff #wellbeing/ #burnout. This would help align incentives across all stakeholders in the #healthcare system. By prioritizing #populationhealth and #healthequity, it would also encourage #providers to take a more holistic, community-oriented approach to #care delivery. This is in line with the goals of value-based models to improve overall #communityhealth outcomes. Tracking and improving metrics across all five aims (outcomes, costs, experience, clinician staff well-being, equity) clearly provides a more comprehensive view of the overall "value" delivered by the #healthcare system. This gives value-based payment models more robust performance #data to incentivize. It also helps shift mindsets from volume-based, transactional care to a model emphasizing prevention, care coordination & addressing #socialdeterminantsofhealth. So why aren't many organizations prioritizing the quintuple aim? I am really not sure, but I do see this as a huge opportunity to help anyone who wants to reap the huge benefits of doing so-what a call to action for all #entrepreneurs and #intrapreneurs! Thoughts appreciated. #Entrepreneurship #innovation #disparities #sdoh #healthyaging https://lnkd.in/gB4tWi5g
