Over the weekend, I faced one of my toughest physical challenges yet: completing the Tough Mudder. 🏃♀️💪
It wasn’t just the mud, obstacles, or physical endurance that tested me – it was managing my body with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) every step of the way. For anyone unfamiliar, these conditions can make even daily tasks exhausting, let alone a demanding obstacle course.
But here's what I learned:
🌟 It's okay to move at your own pace. We all have different starting points and limits, but that doesn’t mean we can’t push ourselves.
🌟 Support matters. I couldn’t have done this alone. I’m beyond grateful for the Networks Centre team and the people who cheered me on.
Crossing the finish line wasn’t just about conquering the course, but proving to myself that my conditions don’t define what I’m capable of. I might face different obstacles than others, but we all have mountains to climb.
To anyone else dealing with chronic illness or other challenges – you’re stronger than you think. Keep pushing, keep adapting, and never stop believing in what you can achieve. 💙

💪 The Dream Team 🏃♂️➡️
Yesterday, a team of Networks Centre's bravest took on the Tough Mudder challenge for a cause close to us.
Even though it only rained a little on the day, the 2 months worth of rain in the 48 hours beforehand made it just that bit tougher but that didn't stop our determined group!
The Dirty Cablers were inspirational to watch as they lifted, dragged, and pushed each other through each obstacle and across the finish line, demonstrating another level of camaraderie and perseverance.
Networks Centre are proud to support a friend of ours, Dale Tuesley, and his family with ensuring Arlo has the best life experiences possible and can meet any potential new health advancements.
Thank you to everyone who donated already. Please see the new link here 🌐

⭐️ Massive well done to everyone that took part and thank you to everyone who supported through donations, sharing and words of encouragement.
🙋 Who's up for the next challenge?

CCO @Grace & Green | Improving access to sustainable period products | Championing period dignity for all🩸Coaching | Consulting | Mentoring | Founder @Seed to Oak
When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)?
I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to:
✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity.
To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John.
✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ).
However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here...
✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday.
(For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.)
Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent.
I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold.
Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉
It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone.
Since launching, our Period Dignity scheme has helped over 400 businesses, schools and public institutions provide sustainable period products to those who need them most.
Together we've:
❋ Supplied 9 million free-to-access sustainable period products
❋ Delivered 9,800+ free period packs to those who need them in partnership with local councils
❋ Stocked 60+ universities and schools with Grace & Green products
❋ Donated £97,000 worth of period products to charitable organisations, including local food banks, in 2023 alone.
Thank you to our community and incredible partners and supporters for making helping us make a difference.
Check out our visits to New Cut Coffee, BIMM University, OVO, Watershed, and Wiper and True. Thank you Honeywell Bakes for our beautiful birthday biscuits.
What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio#leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool!
"The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are.
*Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation.
This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together.
Your support means the world and will help create positive change in our community. P.S. The socks are pretty cool as well https://lnkd.in/gKJnfwB6

DLP Capital is all about housing. And for many, a house is emblematic of family. But in some parts of the world, children never get to know much of either. That’s why the DLP Positive Returns Foundation is going the extra mile (well, more like 2,540 miles, to be exact) to help out orphaned teens in Guatemala City.
These are teens who, for the most part, have never known a home as they near adulthood. Through the non-profit organization Transforming Futures, orphaned teens and others without stable homes are taught life skills, provided healthy meals, and offered spiritual guidance…

Hi LinkedIn Family,
We’re launching a donation drive to provide beddings for the amazing kids at Noah's Ark, a children's home located in Entebbe.
These children deserve comfort and warmth, and we have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their lives. We are seeking contributions in the form of new beddings—sheets, blankets, pillows, and mattresses—to ensure that each child has a cozy and comfortable place to sleep.
How You Can Help:
1.Donate Beddings:We are looking for donations of new sheets, blankets, pillows, and mattresses. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.
2.Monetary Donations:If you prefer to make a financial contribution, we will use the funds to purchase the necessary beddings. [Info on donations can be acquired by contacting us on 0703890371]
3. Spread the Word: Share this post with your network to help us reach more people who might be interested in contributing.
Your generosity will provide more than just physical comfort; it will offer these children a sense of security and love, knowing that there are people who care about their well-being.
Love what you are getting done!
