Our latest project in Tampa involved capturing the exterior of a retail mall strip using 3D scanning to document its existing conditions accurately. Here’s a closer look at our process: 1️⃣ Scanning & Capturing: Using the Leica Scanner, we captured high-resolution scans of the entire building exterior, covering every detail and dimension. 2️⃣ Stitching in Cyclone: In Cyclone software, we meticulously stitched these individual scans together to create a unified, cohesive point cloud. Cyclone's precision stitching ensures all scans align perfectly, creating a detailed representation of the building's exterior as one continuous data set. 3️⃣ Exporting to Revit: Once the point cloud is complete, we export it to Revit, where it will serve as a foundational layer for developing an accurate digital model. This model will represent the building’s current conditions, providing architects and engineers with the data they need for further design and restoration. With the Cyclone-to-Revit workflow, we’re able to transform reality into an actionable digital asset, supporting better planning, design, and decision-making for any restoration or remodeling needs.
