What if every school made service to others a core part of education? Imagine the profound impact it would have on the next generation. → Teaching kids empathy,  → Compassion, and  → The true meaning of community. One of my favourite things in this world is spending time with the kids from our Give Back School and Serving alongside them to help feed the homeless in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The joy and love I see in their eyes during these moments fills my heart in ways words cannot describe. I believe that, Introducing service to others as a regular practice in every school would have a profound, Long-lasting impact on children’s lives. → It teaches empathy,  → Community, and  → The joy that comes from giving back. Tomorrow marks RISE's 2nd Annual Giving Day. Last year, contributions enabled RISE to assist over 600 system-impacted individuals and families holistically through pre-release programming, reentry services, employment support, family engagement, and entrepreneurship development. Support also bolstered RISE's policy and advocacy work, leading to the passage of LB50, LB16, and most recently, LB20. This collective effort is shaping safer, impactful communities. In 2024, leading YFS taught me that real impact happens when we bridge gaps between services, people, and possibilities. This year proved what's possible when we put community needs first: - Expanded critical homelessness outreach services in Logan - Strengthened our executive team to enhance advocacy impact - Built deeper partnerships across government and community sectors - Enhanced service delivery through strategic recruitment I'm grateful to our partners, government stakeholders, and especially the YFS team who show up every day to serve Logan. Your commitment to practical, community-focused solutions makes real change possible.
