Recently, the G3 Robotics FIRST team from Midtown High School visited Dematic's Global Headquarters in Atlanta to give a live demonstration of their impressive robot, Dancing Queen. The students discussed their innovative work and explained how they’re gearing up for competition, all while acquiring essential skills for their futures. Christian Rodriguez, a colleague and mentor to the G3 team, deserves a big thank you, as does Atlanta's 11Alive News for documenting this inspiring event. Gatherings like these underscore the importance of teamwork and creativity—let’s keep working together to shape the future! I am thrilled to announce that our team's line-following robot car has taken 2nd prize in the recent robotics workshop, achieving an impressive 82% accuracy in line following 📊. 💡 Our team's robot car was designed and built to navigate a complex track, following a black line with precision 🚗. The competition was fierce, but our team's dedication to innovation and collaboration 💪 paid off. We are proud of our team's hard work and commitment to excellence 💯. I would like to extend my gratitude to our mentors and team members who contributed to this achievement 🙏. Your expertise and support were invaluable, and we are grateful for your guidance 📝. This achievement is a testament to the power of teamwork and innovation in the field of robotics 🤖. We are excited to apply the skills and knowledge gained from this project to future endeavors 🚀. If you are interested in learning more about our project or would like to collaborate on future robotics projects, please feel free to reach out 📲. We are always looking for opportunities to grow and innovate 💡 #Robotics #LineFollowing #RobotCar #Competition #2ndPrize #Innovation #Technology #Collaboration #GrowthMindset 🤖💻

This past weekend, I had the chance to accompany my son and his HS robotics team for the FIRST Robotics kickoff which is live streamed globally where they set the rules and playing field for this year’s competition. I just wanted to express how impressed I was with the FIRST Robotics organization and the expression of the mission. Even though building a highly functional complex robot is the task, it is clear that there are many more larger objectives. 1) Learning the skill of working as a team to work through a complex objective. Build team, Software team, Drive team, etc. 2) Establish skills that will benefit setting the foundation for a career in a “hands on” environment. 3) Prepare young minds to expand what’s technically possible for the future. 4) Learning the art of valued competition where you can also admire your competition’s innovation in a respectful manner while still driving to be the best. It is my son’s second year in this level of robotics and I continue to be impressed with how much the organization is helping set a foundation for the future, especially for some kid’s that may not have felt a direction. It has given an opportunity to explore technical areas that they connect with and I now see how it will greatly benefit our aerospace community. #robotics #technology

It is an honor and privilage, with a hugh responsibility to be the new #SPRINTROBOTICS Collaborative Chairman. I have been part of the organization from the beginning, now approaching 10 years. The most striking result of the association is the community that has created. The opportunity to listen to our peers and competitors creating a sens of direction and consensus on the opportunities. Also is an incredible forum to listedn to our deer technologist, universities, research centers, integrators, robotic manufacturers and service suppliers who are teaching us the real status of the technology. #Chevron Technology Center has now a #ChevronRoboticsProgram totally dedicated to reach full integration and permanent adoption of #robotic solutions. Our motive? remove people from #confinedspaces, #elevatedwork and other dangerous locations. We have happily found that in most cases the efficiency created by robotics has an impact on execution time and total cost, which now days is welcomed as it create incentives to accelerate deployment. The word “collaborative” in the Sprint Robotics name is no accident, it is deliberate and carries a strong message. We need each other. It is human to collaborate. That’s what makes possible any endeavor we have aimed to achieve. Collaboration is humble because recognizes that the person next to you, across the street or around the globe knows something you dont. Let’s aim to use technologies that are currently available for all in these industries benefit, but never loose the vision of the amaizing future we can all build together. Please go to the SprintRobotics.org portal and join us in this journey.
