I had the privilege of speaking on NDTV about a pressing issue impacting all of us—ENT health amidst Delhi's pollution crisis. In Delhi, 32.1% of children had respiratory symptoms in the previous 3 months. The prevalence of respiratory symptoms was higher in girls than in boys.  I this the way of saving our girl child through this Air pollution which we are facing????????????????????? and than we say save girl child. I am writing to express my deep concern about the ongoing air pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR, which has reached alarming levels in recent years. The deterioration of air quality in the region is having severe health, environmental, and economic impacts on the citizens of Delhi and surrounding areas. Immediate and sustained action is needed to address this issue. A study by the Lung Care Foundation and Pulmocare Research and Education (PURE) Foundation found that:  1 in 3 school kids in Delhi have asthma  Over 50% of school kids in Delhi have allergies  Common symptoms include sneezing, itchy watery eyes, significant cough, itchy rash, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and eczema #airpollution #children #delhigoverment #enviourment #healthissues

Why is Manchester so bad for childhood asthma? The mother of a six year old boy with breathing difficulties has called for local governments to prioritise reducing air pollution. It comes as figures show the North West has the highest proportion of children being hospitalised with asthma anywhere in England. Those under 19 finding themselves in hospital with the condition is 65% worse than the average, Public Health England says, with almost 4,000 children admitted between 2022 and 2023. Tameside, Oldham and Manchester city centre have some the highest rates of asthma hospital admissions for children under 19.
