What Steve the seagull taught me. Picture the scene. It’s a hot day. The ☀️ is beating through the sunroof. People are queuing politely to get on the boat to Victoria. There’s calm. There compliance. Then along comes Steve (seagull). He swoops down and take up a stance on the next door mini. The owner is laughing but nervous. The seagull has no place being there. It’s not its natural place to be. It’s not invited yet here it is standing there unapologetically. As the crowds grew, more laughs, more attention, more photos… Did it fly off? No! Did it it’s%^*#. It stomped around. Then sat down. It saw its place and it took it. It gave not a rats a$$ what anyone else thought. It gave not a rats a$$ that it wasn’t its place to be. And there’s the lesson from Steve… Make your own place.
