Happy Friday! It's time for another employee spotlight 🔦 Meet Andrew Masiye! 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐭? I've been with LifeRaft since July 2021, so 3 years now. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲/𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬? I am a Software Engineer and the Scrum Lead of the Dossier Pod. My primary responsibilities are to ensure the team delivers on its goals and promises as well as contributing to our codebase. I strive to keep the morale of the team in a good place because I believe we deliver our best when we feel our best. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲? I've always wanted to do something that could impact lives in a real way, so when the opportunity arose to combine my love for software development with the opportunity to protect lives it was a no-brainer. People matter so it's nice to know that our efforts could potentially save lives. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞? The people are amazing and I'm always learning new things. It can be all too easy to feel disconnected, especially for one who is working remotely but the LifeRaft team makes up for it. People are friendly and always seem to remember that there is a person behind the code. 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐲? I love watching movies and sports. There's nothing quite like watching a good story with amazing cinematography. Lord of the Rings anyone?... 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝. I can't stand cucumbers and onions... I'll leave it at that. #LifeAtLifeRaft #WeAreNavigator #WeAreCaring #WeAreTenacious #WeAreCurious #LifeRaft #Navigator #NavigatorPoweredByLifeRaft #InRelentlessPursuitOfZeroMissedThreats

Ever thought about the benefits of choosing a 0-1 team over a larger tech company? Here's why I took on a 0-1 role at inFeedo, and it turned out to be a game-changer: ✨ Direct Impact: In a small team, every contribution counts. You can see the tangible impact of your work on the company's success and growth. 🔄 Diverse Roles: Being part of a 0-1 team allows for wearing many hats and gaining experience across multiple areas. It’s an amazing opportunity for learning and personal growth. 🤝 Close-Knit Culture: Working closely with a small team fosters stronger relationships and a supportive environment. It's like a tight-knit sports team that encourages open communication and collaboration. ⚡ Flexibility and Agility: Smaller teams can pivot quickly and adapt to changes efficiently. This fast-paced environment keeps you engaged and excited about what’s coming next. 💡 Creative Freedom: In a 0-1 team, there's more room to innovate and experiment with ideas. This freedom fuels passion and drives innovative thinking. Choosing a 0-1 team can be one of the best career decisions! The experience and growth opportunities are truly unmatched. 🙌 If you've ever considered the idea of working with a small team, these unique advantages might just convince you. #CareerGrowth #SmallTeamAdvantages #0To1Journey

That it’s a smaller, but very closely knit company where everyone is really dedicated and excited about the project, also the willingness to try to do things in a different way from what other studios have done for years. We want to make a game and not be stuck in processes! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵? I’m essentially here to automate away as many commonly repeated workflows as possible. As I was traveling home from the office last night, I experienced a moment that truly encapsulated the essence of innovation and the impact it can have on our daily lives. Sitting in the back of the cab, I noticed the driver using a product that looked strangely familiar. To my delight, it was none other than a "PAYMENT POCKET SOUNDBOX" developed by my very own company, RIOT LABZ PRIVATE LIMITED! What followed was a conversation that left me in awe. The driver shared how this ingenious device had revolutionized his daily routine, making transactions smoother and more convenient than ever before. Hearing firsthand about the benefits our product was bringing to people's lives filled me with an immense sense of pride and accomplishment. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a surge of inspiration coursing through me. Knowing that our innovation was making a tangible difference in the world reaffirmed my belief in the power of technology to transform lives for the better. It's moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. The thrill of seeing our creations out in the wild, enriching the lives of others, is what drives me to push the boundaries of hardware innovation even further. Hardware has always been a passion of mine, and I consider myself fortunate to be part of a team that shares my enthusiasm. At Oakter - Consumer Brand by RIOT Labz we're dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible, relentlessly pursuing the creation of better, smarter hardware for the world. As I reflect on this encounter, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be part of a team that is dedicated to creating products that make a real difference. Here's to many more moments of inspiration and countless innovations that continue to make life easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Let's keep pushing the boundaries and shaping the future, one innovative product at a time! 🚀✨ #hardware #electronics #innovation #technology #productimpact

I donot bombard any employee we hire at Vertigo® with official work atleast for first 3 days.. Then what do they do? Oh no they don’t chill and relax, They learn and experience. I give them the brand board document of Vertigo that has > The Brand Archetype > The Brand Proposition > The Brand Voice > The Brand Position Theory > The Brand Story > The Brand Values and Personality And after 3 days, I ask then to come to me and disect this, why a client would not want to work with us, The person who gives in the most valueable input worth considering to add up in the board gets a credit on back of the brand book with honerable contributors to the company that stays there. Thus, i want everyone who work with me understand the vision and just do not follow but contribute towards it considering it their own. Get people who work with you understand the vision of the company and make them feel a part of it is crucial to build great teams that help you achieve that vision, At least this is what i believe, I may or may not be wrong, am i?

Jake Zien, Gecko's first-ever Product Designer in New York City, ensures customers can seamlessly adopt Cantilever™ into their workflows. #GetToKnowGecko🦎 Q: Why Product Design at Gecko? A: Technology, value, and business strategy are here; design helps form them into a product that fuels Gecko’s growth. Q: What problem are you solving? A: Helping customers make sense of the wealth of data that Gecko provides, to inform their decisions and keep real-world infrastructure online. Q: What makes a career at Gecko unique? A: Gecko’s job really happens in “the field.” It’s a fun problem space with unique constraints that a designer doesn’t always face when working on software — constraints like “this will be used by someone wearing full-body and face PPE, including gloves, in a steam-filled, pitch black room with no Internet.” Q: Favorite part about being a Gecko? A: Non-trivial problems being solved by sharp, friendly, highly-capable people. Q: What would you say to someone looking at Gecko careers? A: Are you curious? Lots of room in your head for a challenging problem? Come on down! #Engineering #Robotics #AI #Software
