This is a very interesting article - given many businesses and conumers are delivering direct to the home - thinking about sustainability of all the packaging involved is critical to protect our environment...
In a world increasingly focused on #sustainability, “reduce, reuse, recycle” has evolved to become a ubiquitous mantra.
Find out in Strategy&'s latest blog article when and where returnable #packaging is the best way forward for food and beverage companies and when alternatives may be preferable.
Don't you just love it when your customers understand the assignment 💪🏻
......
When I previously offered the recipe box service we used to regularly reuse our boxes, particularly for subscription box customers - Every week we would collect their rinsed glassware and the boxes too. It was one of the things that set our local service apart from the other big brand named boxes available. Our service was a truly sustainable recipe box option from the meal options through to ingredients and the packaging.. All mindfully curated and genuinely sustainable (rather than it just being a superficial green washing marketing tactic!)
Fast forward to now.. Firstly, it is lovely to see so many familiar faces on delivery day - previous customers who have missed the service. It is also lovely to still be totally on message with the sustainability 'thing'..
The boxes used this time have been sourced from the rather fabulous Reuseabox™ - Pre-loved boxes with plenty of life left in them. My customers definitely understand my obsession with being more mindful with my packaging.. So we have already started to reuse our reused boxes! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
The nature of our service means that we have a regular rotation of subscription customers, with a few new customers added each week. It will be interesting to see who will win the prize for the most reused box - they are gonna be like a well travelled passport by the time they are ready for recycling! 🤣
.....
Oh, and if you are local to Lincoln and curious about the recipe box delivery service, we have just expanded our capacity (due to fully selling out in the first 2 weeks!) click on the link to order a box and see what the fuss is about 😉

Marketing
Custom-designed boxes can be a powerful marketing tool, helping to grab attention on crowded store shelves and promote brand identity.
Convenience
Multi-pack carriers make it easier for consumers to transport multiple beverages.
Sustainability
Many beverage packaging boxes are now made from recycled materials and can be recycled themselves, making them a more sustainable option.
