Bulk Wine Market | Vinos a Granel - Due to historically low harvests, rosé wine is almost sold out in the Spanish bulk wine market, and white wines are also more than scarce. While Iberian red wine prices are slowly decreasing due to global sales issues, white wine prices remain stable, and in some cases, are even rising #wine #wines #bulkwine #bulkwines #whitewine #vinoblanco #vinosblancos

What Happens in December? Wine made in December can be categorized into specific types based on the harvest and winemaking process. ❄️🍷 Ice wine, also known as Eiswein, is made from grapes that freeze naturally on the vine in cold December weather. These frozen grapes are hand-harvested and pressed while still frozen, resulting in a sweet dessert wine. 🗺️🌍 Countries like Canada, Germany, and Austria are known for producing high-quality ice wines. 🍁🍂 Late-harvest wines are made from grapes picked in late autumn or early winter, resulting in sweeter wines due to concentrated sugars. ❄️🎄 December is a busy time for winemakers, with activities like racking, malolactic fermentation, blending, aging, and bottling taking place. 🍇🍷 Popular December wines include fuller-bodied reds, sparkling wines, and fortified wines like Port. The typical instruments needed for a tasting are: a table covered with a white tablecloth a lamp providing good illumination a receptacle for the wine (Pisco) that is discarded (spit out) The glasses should be made of clear, fine, and long-stemmed crystal, with a narrower mouth than their body (tulip shape). "AFNOR" glasses. Taken from zonadiet "After learning that the average price of Pisco abroad is US$ 7.50 per liter, I can affirm that it is below the quality offered by our flagship distilled spirit. Made with Pisco grapes, we first produce a wine and then distill it. It is not diluted, distilled more than once, or aged in barrels. It is distilled to proof, which means that the master distiller is at the forefront of the still, testing and separating the head and tail to keep the heart. The master is present throughout the process to achieve the best, making Pisco a unique product in the world. How can we ensure that Pisco has an internationally appropriate price for its quality? We need to add value to it. One idea proposed is to use tasters. The standard requires a chemical analysis for all Piscos, but not an organoleptic analysis conducted by expert tasters certified according to the Peruvian standard INACAL NTP-ISO 8586:2014. This would add value to the national spirit. If we encounter a potential buyer abroad and they ask what the difference is between the distilled spirit from Chile (which bears the same name) and Pisco, we know that the one from the southern country is cheaper and often included in wine packages. In Peru, there will be four or five wineries that can offer the complete package: wine and Pisco. However, let's be honest. Our wines still do not compete at the same level. I am sure they will in the future..." https://lnkd.in/eQ-SZGg5

A quick guide to port wine: Port is an expansive category of fortified wine that can be made with around 80 grapes and has been enjoyed for hundreds of years. If you have sipped this potent beverage, it was likely at the end of a meal. But where does this drink come from? Here’s everything you need to know about this fortified wine. 1️⃣ Port is a Portuguese fortified wine that is made by adding distilled grape spirit, usually brandy, to a wine base. The addition of the high-alcohol spirit stops fermentation and “fortifies” the wine. 2️⃣ Port is made in Portugal’s Douro Valley. Much like how Champagne can only be called such if it’s from the Champagne region of France, only wines produced in the Douro Valley can be labeled Port. 3️⃣ There are different styles of port wines like Ruby, Tawny, Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage ports. 4️⃣ Port wines can be best served in short tulip shaped glasses 5️⃣Port can pair well with a variety of foods. But typically, when you are drinking a sweet wine, you’ll want to enjoy it with a sweet dish. Think laird trifle, butterscotch panna cotta with poached pears, chocolate and fig tart with homemade jam and other desserts. Have you tried port wine ? Which is your favourite type of port wine let me know in the comments below! Cheers #sonalholland #masterofwine #portwine #winelovers #wineknowledge #wineexpert #winetips #portugal

Title: Buy Rioja Wines Online | Great Wines Direct Link: https://lnkd.in/e5ddTwWu Rioja Wines Rioja, which has denominación de origen calificada (D.O.Ca., "Qualified Designation of Origin," the top classification in Spanish wine legislation), is a wine area in Spain. Grapes from the autonomous entities of La Rioja, Navarre, and the Basque province of lava are used to make Rioja wine. The three zones of Rioja are Rioja Alta, Rioja Oriental, and Rioja Alavesa. Traditionally, many wines have included grapes from all three zones, while single-zone wines are slowly becoming more popular. Since its founding in 1925, the D.O.Ca. Rioja Regulating Council has authorised seven traditional varietals, four red and three white: Tempranillo, Garnacha tinta, Mazuelo (sometimes called Cariena), and Graciano are the red varietals. #rojawines #wines #greatwines #qualitywines #winestore #drinks #foodanddrinks #food
