💚 Ⓜ️Smart mobility in a liveable city – here’s Rotterdam’s take on it As urban populations surge, the challenge of maintaining liveable, accessible cities becomes increasingly urgent. As the city of making things happen, Rotterdam takes the lead in creating smart mobility solutions. Mobility innovations on land, water and in the air from Rotterdam actively contribute to global resilience: Future Mobility Park: a hub and a test site for autonomous mobility solutions. Hardt Hyperloop: through hyperloop technology, passengers can travel at lightning speeds through vacuum tubes, significantly reducing travel times and drastically improving mobility. Rotterdam the Hague Innovation Airport: focuses on sustainable aviation fuels, electric and hydrogen-powered flying, campus formation and sustainable energy. Watertaxi Rotterdam: the iconic water taxis in the city have been converted to run on electricity and hydrogen. More on Rotterdam’s pioneering mobility: https://lnkd.in/eehndbSc. 💡 TIP: If you're in the mobility sector and eyeing international expansion, check out the MOVE: Mobility Re-imagined from June 17-20 in London. This mission and fair promises an inspiring agenda with networking opportunities, including Dutch Pavilion at MOVE Mobility 2024, preceded by an inspiring trip to Bristol and London. Perfect for Dutch companies in sustainable urban mobility sectors. Deadline for registration: April 30, 2024 via https://lnkd.in/eXn7pfCb. #Innovation #Mobility #RotterdamStepsAhead #GreenMobility #NLontheMOVE 📷 Guido Pijper | Hardt Hyperloop | Koen Laureij | Jolanda Aalbers

Electric mobility is an essential tool in shaping sustainable mobility ecosystems in and around cities. Adequate, effective and attractive EV charging infrastructure requires an integrated approach between the field of mobility and the field of electrical grids. Technolution connects strategic and operational mobility management with strategic and operational electrical grid capabilities in the broader light of the energy transition. I'm sharing our approach and capabilities during the Smart Mobility Embassy webinar on Smart Solutions for Sustainable Mobility on the 12th of March, 09:30 CET. For more info and registration, see the link below. #Electricmobility #Mobilitymanagement #smartcharging #sustainable

The Lufthansa Innovation Hub, in collaboration with Zeitgeist Ventures V2Air, Roland Berger, and Unisphere, has launched a groundbreaking Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Report. This comprehensive study identifies optimal cities for initiating air taxi services, crucial for shaping the future of urban mobility. The report offers strategic insights and data-driven recommendations for AAM operators, city planners, regulators, and investors. Key cities highlighted include Orlando, Charlotte, Chicago, and Los Angeles in the U.S., and Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, and Helsinki in Europe, excluding Germany. Emphasizing a "route-first" approach, the report advocates for selecting cities with favorable terrain and weather conditions to optimize operational efficiency. It also underscores the importance of collaborative efforts with regulatory bodies and infrastructure development to support sustainable AAM deployment. “This report is essential for navigating the complexities of launching AAM services,” stated Kolin S., Senior Manager of Strategic Intelligence at Lufthansa Innovation Hub. “It not only identifies prime launch cities but also provides actionable insights crucial for successful AAM implementation.” Read the article on our blog. #AvfoilNews #AdvancedAirMobility #AAM #UrbanMobility #LufthansaInnovationHub #V2Air #RolandBerger #Unisphere #AirTaxi #AviationInnovation #FutureOfMobility #InfrastructureDevelopment

What do the various so-called 'new mobility services' have in common? Is such a summarising label justified? I am very proud to share the first PhD article of my PhD student Ibrahim Mubiru (https://lnkd.in/eVjA57Qn) in which we address this question through a scoping review! #mobility #planning #smartmobility #escooters #sharedmobility #transport #maas https://lnkd.in/eQ9PGY7n

Collaboration is a Key☺️ The concept, goals, and vision of MaaS seem to be continuously evolving over the past few years. As collaboration between public and private sectors is crucial, both as a transportation planner and a public transit user, I'm keen on brainstorming more valuable approaches. Companies operating Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) also consider MaaS and multimodal success as their ultimate goal. In the coming years, we envision living in more attractive cities through holistic and convenient user-centered solutions.
🗣NEW & EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT🗣 Mobility-as-a-Service continues to evolve rapidly, revolutionising the way that people navigate urban environments. By integrating various transportation services into a single platform, MaaS enables the offering of seamless, convenient and often cost-effective mobility solutions. For Intelligent Transport, Mariusz Zabrocki, UK General Manager at FREENOW, shares his thoughts on how MaaS can be vital in supporting more sustainable transport choices; what role it can play in improving the accessibility of the industry; and the importance of collaboration between public and private transport.
