December 2023's United Nations #ClimateChange Conference of the Parties #C0P28 ended with a resolution that marked the first time in three decades of #UnitedNations climate summits that countries have agreed to "transition away" from fossil fuels. The resolution one among many has participating countries committed to "transitioning away from fossil fuels in their energy systems, beginning in this decade, in a just, orderly and equitable manner to achieve net zero by 2050".
