Cultivating Connections: Thea-Isabella Otto’s Journeys Through the Next Gen Ag Landscape Part 2 After attending the #Indooragcon in Las Vegas, I traveled to San Francisco for the World Agri-Tech Summit. Although the focus at the previous event had been on controlled environment agriculture (CEA), this topic didn't receive as much attention at the summit in San Francisco. However, this turned out to be a positive thing. The summit wasn't solely focused on vertical farms, which have been struggling lately. It was a diverse gathering of innovators from across the entire agri-food spectrum. The event took place on March 19th and 20th, and attracted a high-level delegation of 2,400 people from 58 countries to discuss the future of sustainable agriculture. As someone in the indoor farming industry, this was a unique opportunity. While the Indoor AG-CON in Las Vegas primarily attracted industry professionals, the World Agri-Tech Summit in San Francisco provided a direct link to potential investors and retailers. It was like having a front-row seat to the future of food production, where cutting-edge technology meets real-world demand.
