Terraced communication Take a look with us at the SQUARE building at the University of St. Gallen: Designed by the acclaimed architect Sou Fujimoto, this terraced structure not only accentuates the natural landscape but also supports innovative approaches to education thanks to communicative spatialization. A standout feature of the building is its double-skin façade. It comprises 448 unique elements, each made of float glass and laminated safety glass coated with #SILVERSTAREN2Plus for excellent thermal insulation and high light transmission. The triple-glazed units ensure optimum energy efficiency, with a Ug of 0.6 W/(m²K) important in winter, while blinds within the façade prevent overheating in summer.
