Of festive offers, failed communication and fallen revenue. My client recently came up with a Valentine’s special offer: an assorted gift box. It was perfect on paper - everyone wants a readymade pack of gifts to give their partner on V-day. To make it better, they even had a sale on the individual products. So V-day special bundled gift boxes + discounts on standalone products = guaranteed boost in revenue, right? Wrong. The ad creatives only showcased the bundles and had no mention of the offers running on all the other products -> so the performance marketing team couldn’t run ads on the discounted products -> so the customers only saw the ads for bundles which were obviously more expensive -> resulting in a massive dip in revenue. The campaign that was supposed to be a big hit rather blew up in our faces. Our learnings: - Teamwork is everything. The brand team should be aware about the campaign structure and the performance marketing team should be aware about the creatives, even if it means going over the same memo 2-3 times together. - Overcommunicate. Even when things seem obvious, confirm. One person’s common sense is another person’s clarity. - Always have a plan B. Not everything goes according to plan. Sometimes you will need a backup. Be prepared for those times. You live, you learn.

We shipped more than 30 improvements & features to our loyalty platform last month across 103 releases. All seamless to our more than 100 customers. Of the many updates like: - Automated multi-currency support - Integrations like Stay.ai - Usability improvements for shoppers My favorite is our new Giveaway capability. Ahead of this last stretch of holiday (Memorial Day, Fathers Day, July 4th) we had a handful of customers reach out asking us to support giveaways for loyalty members. We love listening to customers, so we added Giveaways to the product. It's been in closed beta with select customers, but we released it to everyone last week. Here's a few awesome ways we saw our customers use it: 1. Automated giveaways for certain VIP tiers (being in the tier automatically grants you an entry) 2. New "ways to enter" as other ways to promote engagement 3. New "entries" as a reward customers can spend points on. This creates a valuable "point sink" that customers can spend on without being a pure discount All of this can, of course, be targeted as well with our personalization capabilities.
