It didn't seem right to post the importance of a backup and recovery on April 1st. Today and the Event "World Backup Day" on March 31st is an important reminder of the requirement to properly backup your business data. Your core business applications need to be backed up and then tested that they can be restored. We know #IBMi DB2 is a technology that not only can be backed up to technology that supports offsite storage but it is also a server that is highly recoverable. So while you are evaluating moving off of IBM i, you need to think about the impact of ransomware and your ability to recover from an attack like this on other core business applications not running on IBM i. We know we can protect your IBM i server from ransomware with Fortra Powertech AV and Ransomware protection on IBM i besides your ability to recover if needed. Let's focus on the recovery when discussing backups! #IBMi #IBMchampion
