Yesterday, I spoke at the Talos360 Future of Talent event in Manchester. I shared that my daughter had been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD, and discussed how AI is changing the hiring process. AI-powered tools can level the playing field for neurotypical and neurodivergent candidates by reducing bias and providing objective assessments. However, not everyone has equal access to these tools or opportunities. To address this, organisations can provide access to AI tools, offer training and support, consider alternative hiring methods, and work to address systemic inequalities. The challenge organisations face is not finding the right talent, but how they engage, assess, and hire. Adam Newey of Collctiv shared an example of hiring an Uber driver who became a top performer, despite their unconventional CV. This raises the question: should CVs remain the standard, or is there a better way? By creating a more equitable and inclusive hiring process, organisations can benefit all candidates, regardless of background. #FutureOfWork #HiringTrends #TalentAcquisition #NeuroInclusion
