This past Friday employees from @SmithGendler and some friends volunteered at Fisher House in Minneapolis. Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. Our seven volunteers purchased the supplies ($200), delivered and cooked and served dinner (20 hours of labor) and were able to sit and eat and speak with some of the family members currently living there. We had a tour of the beautiful facility with a history of the house and it's mission. The stockings on the railing each represents a branch of the military. What a great night and cause to support.
