On November 1, 2024, the Center of Expert Research and Modeling and the Training Center for Physical Protection, Control and Accounting of Nuclear Material named after George Kuzmycz (GKTC) of the Institute of Nuclear Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held a joint round table on the topic "Problems of safety of the nuclear-industrial complex facilities during military aggression". During the round table, the main attention was paid to the issues of modernization of physical protection systems of nuclear power facilities in the context of russian aggression and the prospects of implementing and improving cyber protection systems as a key component of comprehensive security of nuclear power facilities. The round table was also attended by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, SSSCIP and nuclear-industrial complex enterprises. Taking into account the significant list of problematic issues in the industry, an agreement was reached on the initiation of a series of round tables and seminars aiming development of joint decisions between regulators and operators of critical infrastructure facilities regarding improvement of physical protection systems and cyber protection of facilities of the nuclear industrial complex. #CERM #GKTC
