So we're at pop-up bagels right now in the West Village. A ton of people have been posting about it on the Smore app. They all say that it's got the best bagels in New York City. So we're going to go check it out. I'm here with Adam from Papa Bagels. How did you get into this business? What was the path? What led you here? Totally random. Hot day in the summer making sourdough, bread, all COVID in the pool, 8:00 in the morning. And we thought be much more refreshing to make bagels than sourdough. What's one thing that you wish people knew about the pop up bagels experience? I think the greatest misconception is this 2 hour line that people are afraid to come. Wait. We've gotten so efficient, our lines never really more than 1520 minutes now on the weekends. What's the craziest thing that's happened here as part of your experience? Paul Rudd's cashier, JJ Watt is bagel bouncer was kind of epic. The craziest thing is just being like spotted anywhere randomly and someone just walking up to me and being like, thank you for making the best bagels. We're not even near the shop, so that's pretty cool. What advice would you like to give to your younger self? Get into the bagel business earlier, you're gonna do rapid fire questions for you. This is your favorites favorite thing to do in New York City besides this walk. Favorite thing about being in New York City? People watching. Favorite neighborhood. Village's favorite place to eat? Minetta Tavern. Favorite landmark Washington Square Park. Favorite NYC TV show or movie? Well, Rob says King of Queens, you gotta go with Seinfeld is my favorite TV show.
