A blunder I made until recently?
I thought I need perfect value posts
But what's value anyway?
Value ≠ Secret information
It isn't a race to share info to people
(We aren't paps, are we?)
What counts as valuable then?
👉 Your unique experiences are valuable
👉 Your expertise on a niche is valuable
👉 Your sense of humour is valuable
👉 Your stories are valuable
No matter who we are.
We all have some "value" to share.
3.5 ways I deliver value :
1. I share stories to empower -> Make your community feel unstoppable.
2. I share struggles to inspire -> Make 'em feel heard and seen.
3. I share my knowledge to educate -> Make'em see you as authority
3.5. I try to entertain -> Make 'em remember you
P.S - How was your weekend?

“Life is meant to be different”, it had said. “It´s meant to be playful, full of joy and supported by a loving, caring community.” I knew it was right. So I started looking to find life as it was supposed to be. And as I didn’t find it, I started to create it.

Sitting in the comforts of my home I am grateful to have a roof over my head. I have freedoms and my thoughts are unlimited. For all my desires and expectations, I have privileges and I dare to dream and work hard to achieve.
I am responsible for my actions, I am responsible for my intentions, my mother’s words are comfort too my soul.
1. Always treat people how you want to be treated.
2. Your word is your worth , it’s your credit in how you work with your community. Without credit you are working for self-gratification.
3. Know what you are good at.
4. Learn every day from the people you met and children are the best teachers.
5. Be your best version of yourself.
6. Nana Vera’s favourite “Don’t be no up start jumped up C U next Tuesday”…Be you!
As Voice elected and a member of the collective Region 1… All I ask for is some time to find our feet before we stand, figure out our strengths before we speak, and know how to use our voices for the betterment of our community. These are important processes to develop as we learn to be the best versions of ourselves and we must hold our truths as our starting point of this long conversation. It is all of our beginnings.

Discover the Secret to Truly Knowing a Community.
Over 20 years ago, I learned that building genuine connections in a community starts with being present—what I call "Boots on the Ground." It's about more than just showing up; it's listening, observing, and addressing unique barriers, like language and transportation.
This approach turned struggling programs into thriving ones and continues to work in communities worldwide.

Start by reflecting on your values, interests, and goals. With what kind of people do you want to be associated? Look for communities that align with your passions and aspirations. Whether it's a professional network, a hobby group, or a volunteer organization, finding like-minded individuals who share your values is key.

If you want to grow, you need to be willing to leave your comfort zone. It’s where you’ll find the experiences and challenges that push you to your next level. 💡

1️⃣ Accept Fear as Part of the Journey: Fear is natural. Instead of letting it paralyze you, use it as fuel to move forward.
2️⃣ Take One Step at a Time: It doesn’t need to be a giant leap. Start with small, manageable challenges.
3️⃣ Learn from the Process: Every experience, even failures, offer valuable lessons. They make you stronger and more resilient.
4️⃣ Trust Your Ability to Adapt: You’re more capable than you think. Believe in your potential!

Rosie is right. Connection does not make community. In fact, I think there are four ingredients to community
Connection ≠ community. We're connected when we're crammed in an elevator, or all in the same pub. Being in the same place does not mean we're in a community.
Community isn't just about people talking to each other. That could be a debate. Or an argument. Or a polite conversation about the weather.
And community isn't just about interest either. A group of football fans have a shared interest, but if their focus is on the team and not each other then they're a fandom. And although that's similar to a community, it's not the same.
Community is about connection, conversation, interest AND value from the exchange. We're in the same space, talking to each other, with a shared interest, and we get value from the interaction.
This is why almost all social media marketing is not community building. And why we need to stop asking for community managers when we actually want social media professionals (and vice versa)...
