Building a Sustainable Future 🌍 At Telent, we're committed to reducing the environmental impact of our construction activities. Our Scotland team is exploring the use of cementitious soil binders to address a major challenge: the significant waste generated during foundation and underground service excavations. The team in Scotland has been trialling excavated material binders for lightweight GRP posts at the Slateford Rail Centre. The posts, weighing just 15kg, can be easily deployed by small teams without heavy machinery, ensuring we are minimising landfill waste, reducing CO2 emissions, and cutting costs. This will form part of a test facility where Telent can test and research technology and processes to roll out to the wider rail networks and the rest of Telent's businesses. Telent will continue to lead the way in sustainable construction but also inspire others to adopt environmentally friendly practices.
