"Sir I shop only refills wherever it's possible to be more environment friendly". This notion that many have thinking refill options are inherently more environmentally friendly is a misconception. While they might appear to reduce plastic consumption, a closer look reveals a different story. Many refill products are packaged in Type 7 plastic, which present significant challenges for recycling infrastructure, rendering them less environmentally friendly than often assumed. In contrast, the original bottles often use Type 2 plastic, which is more readily recyclable and even can be reused to make cleaners with many tablet or powder based cleaners available. Don't just read the label, be mindful of the materials we consume. Every purchase has an environmental impact. https://lnkd.in/gMc6CX5b #sustainability #plasticpollution #refillmyth #environment #consumerawareness
