Africa is brimming with potential! Following the emergence of tech hubs, there is a rise in young innovators and expert talents. Yet, a significant challenge persists: the innovation gap. This gap isn't just about lack of ideas. Africa has no shortage of bright minds. It’s about the tools, platforms, and opportunities needed to turn these ideas into scalable solutions that address the continent’s unique challenges. Take a moment to consider this: How many groundbreaking ideas have we seen stall due to a lack of funding, mentorship, or collaboration? How often have we witnessed innovators struggle to connect with the right partners or markets? This is where InnoX comes into the picture. InnoX is a playground for innovation. More than a platform, it’s a movement to break innovation silos, bridge the gap; providing innovators with the resources and networks they need to succeed. Whether it’s startups needing mentorship, businesses requiring partnerships, or young innovators looking to showcase their solutions and ideas, InnoX is designed to bring the ecosystem together. It’s time for Africa’s ideas to go beyond dreams. Let’s turn them into realities. Are you an innovator or innovation champion? Explore more at www.innox.africa.

As we step into 2025, BetterStories Limited reflects on a transformative 2024, marked by growth, collaboration, and innovation. This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated our 15th Anniversary, reflecting on our journey as a future-proofing agency. A three-day strategy retreat, led by Chief Storyteller Minhaz Anwar, enabled the team to envision the organization’s future. The year began with the SouthAsiaTech Founders’ Reception, fostering collaboration across South Asia’s vibrant startup ecosystem. Building on this momentum, our mentorship efforts shone through events like the Hult Prize ULAB and Huawei’s Women in Tech Incubation Bootcamp, inspiring young minds and future female leaders to create impactful, tech-driven solutions. Minhaz Anwar also joined as a judge at the Youth Co:Lab Springboard Final Pitch 6.0, lending his expertise to support innovative social impact initiatives. Beyond mentorship, our focus group discussions in Cox’s Bazar sparked collaborative opportunities among humanitarian practitioners. The TekSHOI Humanitarian Knowledge Hub and its promotion at the SheRAA Launch Ceremony reinforced our commitment to knowledge-sharing and fostering impactful development initiatives. Global partnerships further flourished in 2024, with the Global Spark Canada initiative empowering students worldwide to tackle pressing challenges. We also played a role at Nepal’s GIREE Alliance write-shop, promoting collaboration and inclusion, and participated in the Max Social Enterprise workshop in Bangladesh, addressing sustainable water and hygiene solutions. Additionally, impactful programs like the IMM Booster Workshop, Founders’ Office Hours, and the TekSHOI Media Fellowship allowed us to empower journalists and entrepreneurs to shape narratives and drive meaningful change. Minhaz Anwar’s role as a panel moderator on women-led ventures at ANDE South Asia Convening 2024 added another highlight to a year of inspiring dialogue and collaboration. As 2024 concludes, BetterStories celebrates the partners, clients, and community that fueled these achievements. We look forward to a 2025 filled with innovation, growth, and impactful collaborations. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
