🌟 Building WITH the Community, Not FOR the Community 🌟 At Social Justice School (SJS), we firmly believe in the power of young people to change the world. All they need are the tools and the time—and at SJS, we are committed to giving them both. This is what it means to build with the community, not for the community. Together, we are fostering a generation of change-makers who are ready to take on the challenges of today and create a brighter tomorrow. #SocialJustice #CommunityBuilding #YouthLeadership #EducationForChange #SocialImpact

Introducing our very unique and original concept, ladies and gentlemen, Spring Communities is more than happy to officially present the ADED model, a structured framework designed to enhance the capabilities, opportunities, and influence of young people. Our model aims to provide youth with the skills, resources, and support they need to make positive contributions to society and to achieve their personal and community goals. Key components include: 1. Education and Skills Training: Providing access to quality education and vocational training to develop essential skills. 2. Mentorship and Guidance: Connecting youth with mentors who can offer advice, support, and role modeling. 3. Access to Resources: Ensuring young people have access to necessary resources, including technology, information, and financial support. 4. Opportunities for Participation: Creating avenues for youth to participate in decision-making processes, community service, and leadership roles. 5. Psychosocial Support: Offering counseling and mental health services to help youth cope with challenges and build resilience. 6. Policy Advocacy: Advocating for policies that protect and promote the rights and interests of young people. 7. Community Engagement: Encouraging youth to engage in their communities and contribute to social change. By implementing the ADED model, Spring Communities aim to foster an environment where young people can thrive, develop their potential, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. #springcommunities #Burundi #approach #youth #youthempowerment #hubdinspiration #HI #inspirationhub

Early intervention programs often emphasize inclusion and participation in community settings, such as schools, playgrounds, and social activities. By providing children with opportunities to interact with peers and participate in typical childhood experiences, interventions can help foster social skills, build friendships, and promote a sense of belonging #EarlyIntervention #InclusionMatters #CommunityParticipation #ChildhoodExperiences #SocialSkillsDevelopment #FriendshipBuilding #BelongingMatters #PlaygroundInclusion #SchoolInclusion #SocialActivities

In my experience, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of interventions in reshaping not just individuals but entire institutional cultures. By actively involving community members in these settings, we have the opportunity to introduce fresh perspectives and innovative ways of thinking. It's a reciprocal process where both inmates and the community glean valuable insights from one another. This mutual exchange cultivates empathy, dismantles the pervasive us-vs-them mindset, and fosters genuine understanding. In essence, I believe that the pivotal role of credible messengers and community engagement cannot be overstated in enhancing safety and cohesion within our communities. At Youth Empowerment, we share this conviction and are committed to championing empathy, understanding, and authentic connection as the cornerstones of our efforts to effect positive change.

Historically, African American youth and young people of color have been underserved in traditional treatment settings, and more likely to interact with the legal system. At LifeWorks NW, we believe in wellbeing for all, and we know that means culturally responsive programming must be available to serve all of our community members. Our REAL program (Recovery, Empowerment, Achievement in Life) uses the principles of Kwanzaa and Umoja (Together As One) to shape care delivered to young people of color. Understanding the community before we help is super important for making a real difference. We need to know about their history, culture, and problems they face. This helps us to plan our help in a way that really works for them. We should look for what's already good in the community, like their strengths, weakness, threats, available resources and talents. By using these, we can make things even better. It's also important to be respectful of their traditions and customs. This builds trust and makes our help more effective. Once we understand their challenges, we can come up with ways to help that really fit their needs. Whether it's helping with community engagement/development, building climate resilience, empowerment or making sure kids and girls get a good education, knowing what they need helps us to make a real difference that lasts. #communitydevelopment #youthdevelopment #communityengagement #socailimpact #SDGs #empowerment #UNDP #Unicef #BritishCouncil #socialaction
