In all of my years in the corporate world, I’ve seen many leaders strive for success. That can look different depending on their roles and organizations, but throughout history, we have developed opinions of leaders in the government sector, business, and the not-for-profit sector based on three factors: their decisions, their performance, and their character. https://lnkd.in/esa-abki

Leadership isn’t about simply telling people what they want to hear. It’s about empowering them to make the decisions they often don’t want to make. Effective leaders encourage growth by helping others step outside their comfort zones, make tough calls, and navigate challenges. Real progress happens when we’re willing to embrace the difficult, not just the convenient. Leadership is less about providing all the answers and more about guiding people towards the courage to find their own. https://lnkd.in/gNgN4Cvm

The article's focus on leaders' lack of objectivity makes it an interesting read. In the absence of capable leadership, a company is likely to wander aimlessly. The emergence of psychopathic leaders threatens the present status quo of some organizations' reputations for innovation, creativity, and market leadership. These numbers are concerning because these leadership traits can have a negative impact on the culture and performance of organizations. https://lnkd.in/e6dpJ-9M

I needed to hear this today and I hope my LinkedIn network gets value out of this short yet impactful read. "But handled correctly, #integrity can be a superpower that inspires employees and resonates with today’s values-minded consumers. And integrity is contagious. Create an environment in which it is openly embraced by leadership and woven into the fabric of your culture, and it will be a powerful asset." Great leaders have integrity and leading with integrity is the culmination of multiple actions and behaviors. #leadwithintegrity #dotherighthing https://lnkd.in/dRYKmqAv

How does philosophy play a role in your strategy? For me, this was about seeing the bigger picture. It is way too easy to get stuck with our heads in the sand. Be strategic in your growth and revenue projections, and make sure your team embraces all (or most) of them. This read by David Rodin is a great thought starter as we approach 2025 strategic initiatives. #strategy #leadership #consulting The Hinesight Group

If you have an abusive manager, it can be an opportunity to learn on what not to do, learn how to stand for yourself and others, refine your own leadership style and become a better manager.
Do you have an abusive manager? Know this: You are not your boss, and their leadership style doesn’t have to define yours.

1wCongratulations Michael Keeley on writing such a timeless--and timely!--book on how the advice given to authoritarian leaders trickled down into the business literature. We would all do well to recognize the origins of cliches that no longer serve us. Please DM me if anyone would like a review copy of would like to interview the author.
