Today, the International Forum “Digitalization of Ukraine’s Quality Infrastructure System: International Experience, National Context” took place, where key challenges and opportunities related to the digital transformation of the quality infrastructure were discussed. 🌍💻 This process is crucial for strengthening the competitiveness of Ukrainian businesses and integrating into the EU market. 🇺🇦🔧 I had the honor of being a co-organizer of the event together with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, GIZ, the Tipster Project, and SE “Ukrmetrteststandard”. 🤝🎯 Digital transformation is reshaping all aspects of our quality infrastructure, and its impact on standardization, metrology, and conformity assessment is of great significance. 🚀✨ A special thanks to the speakers, including representatives from PTB, UNIDO, and SWEDAC. In the realm of economic development, Singapore's attempt to become a major hub for semiconductor development, akin to Taiwan's success, stands out. Although Singapore faced challenges in replicating Taiwan's model, the ongoing efforts to attract Taiwanese firms for investment and technology transfers in Singapore highlight the commitment to shared technological advancement. Dindo Manhit, president of think tank Stratbase-ADR Institute, echoed that sentiment, noting the US has shown its consistent engagement in the region through other channels and dialogues. “Biden also managed to attend almost half of the previous Asean summits, highlighting his active participation in these dialogues,” he said. Bari (Italy): The talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni have taken the India-Italy strategic partnership to new heights. In the last few years, Italy has emerged as a strong partner of India. Now the relationship between India and Italy is moving towards a new height. This is a new chapter in the relations between the two countries. During the G7 summit, PM Modi reviewed the progress of bilateral strategic partnership between the two countries with his counterpart Meloni. Italy will support India against China Amid China’s aggressive activities in the region, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “Both the leaders look forward to joint activities to be implemented under the prepared framework to fulfill their shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific region.” It said that they also discussed important regional and global issues and agreed to strengthen cooperation in global forums and multilateral proposals, including the India-West Asia-Europe Economic Corridor. The India-West Asia-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) project envisages a huge road, rail and shipping system between Saudi Arabia, India, America and Europe.
