Sofitel is proud to support Royal Far West (RFW) who provide essential services to country children for their developmental, mental and behavioural health so they can reach their full potential. The Fuzzy is a therapy tool utilised by RFW telecare clinicians to help develop and enhance a child’s fine motor skills. By incorporating fun with the tennis ball, the therapy is gamified and more encouraging for the children. Today our team members worked together over a series of sessions to create Fuzzies! A fun activity and a great way of bringing the RFW message and important role in our community to life. Royal Far West

Recommendations from the National Institute for Health and Care excellence specifically mention how interventions that support positive relationships in looked-after children help improve a wide range of outcomes including educational, relational, and physical, mental, and emotional health and wellbeing. Fundamentally having people you know care about you means a lot. Can you imagine what it would feel like to not feel this about anyone? In particular, having at least one adult other than a parent who takes a strong interest in them as a long-term mentor and role model can have a significant impact. Someone who is there consistently, shows persistence and understanding, and responds both to behaviours that challenge and which are positive. Social workers, teachers and other professionals can play this role, but they're so stretched and have high workloads. So this is what we do at Care to Dance. We understand, we know how to be there for and support our young people and do what we need to, to make sure they know we're there for them - inside and outside of sessions. Every young person will have someone to talk to, whether that be something positive or painful, so they are heard and listened to. We want to help as many young people as we can to have access to this kind of support. But we need your help to do that. We'd love to talk to you about how we might be able to partner or work together, or how you can make our work keep happening. Find out more on our website -

Today is R U OK? Day - a day that encourages meaningful connection with family, friends, peers, and the community and reminds us that a simple conversation can make a world of difference. This R U OK? Day, we asked our diverse and multicultural peers at the MHFA office how they check in with the people around them in their first language. Reach out, check in with those around you, and let them know they’re not alone. #RUOKDay #StartTheConversation #MHFA #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness

I have laughed and cried watching this documentary and I urge you all to watch. Every single parent and carer of a young person with disabilities will know this struggle and fear of the ‘cliff edge’ when education ceases and a transition to adult services and ‘life’ looms. For those without disabilities this is often a hugely exciting time of life with endless options I would like to say as a parent and professional advocating for Supported Employment Pathways and a clear transition pathway from education to adult working life, that this story is not unusual and for many, the struggle and barriers are even greater. Young adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions who want to work and contribute to society should be enabled to do so. Placements and living facilities are hard to find because the ‘medical model’ of disability remains in much of today’s society. Currently, we should all be ascribing to the ‘social model’ i.e. people are disabled by the barriers in society not their needs. We need to take much larger and timely steps towards breaking down these barriers. We don’t just want need the equality, of everyone being offered the same, we need equity – give people what they need to achieve, succeed and fulfil their aspirations to live their life, contribute and feel valued and belonging. I am hopeful that the new programmes being discussed and rolled out will enable a consistent and quality service provision for transition in the years to come. It is certainly what we are fighting for here at No Limits, through the Café and our Supported Employment outreach service. Working with other organisations and engaging with authorities across Devon, progress is being made and we are hopeful change for good is on its way! We will keep fighting for those in Devon who need this help!https://lnkd.in/eeKj-Qsi

Feeling disconnected from others can have profound effects on mental and emotional well-being. However, there’s hope. Recreational therapy programs offer a holistic approach to combating social isolation, providing avenues for connection, purpose, and joy. https://lnkd.in/dwG8A3pE #HOWNation #PaddleFishHeal #RecreationTherapy

I agree with your approach, and because of the Maternal Connection and attachment the offspring develops Firstly with its Mother, I believe that most Good men would understandably and willingly uphold their responsibility of being a Good Provider and Father Figure for their Family and Offspring. However, in the past few decades, there has been growing demand for Equal Rights with competing individuals ranging from those who live life as a Single, to Basic Friendships, Intimate Relationships, even from those committed in Monogamous Relationships. As with all commitments, I believe that it is safe to say that - if the Integrity of their Faith, Loyalty, Respect, Discretion, and Sustainability to the moral Standards and obligations governing the foundation of their relationship is Unfeigned, and in fact acknowledged in kind one to another, most relationships Will be Successful. In a JUST world, this would be the Golden Standard of what it means to have a Good, Healthy, feasibly Functional Relationship. On the other-hand, both Good and Bad Intent are sadly considered as Optional Relationship Prerogatives to the investing Opportunist, though - Single OR Married - it is usually based on some insidious form of Selfish Blind Intuition. If Domestic Abuse and Family Dysfunction, were not seen as viable solutions in the handling of our Sentimental Affairs, it would drastically lower the likelihood of One Individual committing such acts of betrayal and violence and subjecting their partner or Significant Other to such devastating outcomes for their relationship. This algorithm threatens to disembowel the very Core Infrastructure embodying the Decency & Order in both Public and Family Relations, and even in Modern Day Society, it's eerie presence is felt everywhere.
