Week 1 of the IBM Z Skills Fest has come to an end, and what a fantastic week it was! Here’s a quick recap of the week’s sessions and why I’m more excited than ever about the future of mainframe technology: 🌟 Monday: We kicked off with an "Expert Talk: Trusted AI + Trusted IT - Meet the Mainframe" led by the incredible Donna Dillenberger. It was fascinating to dive into how AI is seamlessly integrating with legacy systems, proving once again that the mainframe is at the cutting edge of technology. 🌟 Tuesday: Tim McKeoun took us on a "Technical Deep Dive: Future Proof Your Career with Generative AI." Learning about WatsonX Code Assistant for Z and the integration of Gen AI into Z Systems was truly enlightening. The future of tech careers looks brighter than ever! 🌟 Wednesday: The "Careers Panel: Decoding the Mainframe: Programming on Z" was insightful, with Anna McKee, Malin Backe, and Fanny Hedlund sharing their experiences as mainframers. It was inspiring to hear about their journeys and what a day in their lives looks like. 🌟 Thursday: The week continued with Tamar Eilam’s "Expert Talk: Building a Greener Digital World with the Mainframe." It’s exciting to see how Z Systems are contributing to a more sustainable digital future. IBM is truly paving the way for a greener world! 🌟 Friday: We ended the week with an open talk by fellow IBM Z Ambassadors Kasema H., Immanuel Alvaro Bhirawa, and Joana Okica. Hearing their reflections on their journeys as Ambassadors was both motivating and heartwarming. 🎓 One of the amazing perks of attending the IBM Z Skills Fest: Attendees who complete their Concepts and Advanced Badges on the Zxplore Platform before August 19th will receive certificates and free access to the Interskills Platform for six months! 🔥 Week 1 was incredible, and I can’t wait to dive into Week 2.
