There's a buzz around self-managed and high-performing teams these days. But if there's one thing that teams and companies absolutely need to nail for success, it's the art of giving and receiving feedback. Many people picture feedback as a manager critiquing an employee behind closed doors. Others dread it because it often feels like a spotlight on their mistakes. But Heather wants you to know that feedback is so much more than that. When shared and received effectively, feedback can propel you and your team to new heights, enabling you to achieve anything you set your minds to. Earn 1 PDU/CDU credit when you attend live on zoom. Hot tip from our own Trisha Bustamante ✨ Know when to reach out! I believe that everything is figureoutable, but not if you're alone! It's so easy to get lost in the ins and outs of managing people, processes, and clients. In some cases, alone-time focus blocks are best. But most of the time, you need the insights of your amazing teammates to provide you with honest and constructive feedback, or maybe even just to 'brain jam' it out—so you can create a workflow that caters to everyone's point of view and takes into account people's different learning styles! #effectiveteams #growtogether #magicalteams

A one-pager for giving feedback well? Yesterday we gathered a curious band of team-members from across our partner orgs — expertly led by coach Katy Kent — for an experimental exploration of how to give and get feedback more #specifically. If it’s a skill you’re keen to practice, please do have a look at the session worksheet shared here. It focuses on our BID (Behaviour > Impact > Dialogue) framework for landing feedback well. Which you can flip too, and ‘reverse someone into’ if they come to you with something they consider to be feedback, like this example shared — “Your energy is all wrong.” 😡 👉 Here's the worksheet https://lnkd.in/gtKQ59vE ------ + We’ve future *Owning Feedback* sessions in June and September, and if you’d like to come along just drop us a line. ++ We're testing out some new 10-minute-tools on topics like this and more, designed to be digested close to conversations. You're very welcome to take them for a spin. #threeletteracronyms #TLAs #teams #feedback

Team Feedback matrix We asked our team for feedback, with no particular structure to avoid guiding ideas. When we grouped it, it's clear that most feedback is about the spreadsheet Product and our Processes! (The image is the actual feedback. Reply or DM if you want to dive on any particular point!). Instead of focusing where we got the most feedback, we quickly went over those sections of Product and Process. And then we actually spent more time on what has *fewer contributions*: Ideas for the Business! Kind of a survivorship bias. Lot's of stuff came out of there, so I will be writing about those soon enough. Full post here: https://lnkd.in/ddx6jPzn #buildinginpublic #spreadsheets !)

The Power of Anonymous Feedback 📄 At the end of our sessions, we use the Paper Crumble activity to gather authentic, unfiltered feedback from participants—anonymously. Here’s how it works: ✏️ Participants choose one of four reflection questions. 📄 They write their response anonymously, crumple the paper, and toss it into the center. 🔄 The papers are randomly redistributed, and each participant reads someone else’s feedback aloud. This simple yet powerful exercise encourages honest reflections and meaningful insights in a way that feels safe, fun, and engaging. What are your favorite ways to collect authentic feedback? #LeadershipDevelopment #AuthenticFeedback #ConnectedApproach #WorkshopTools #TeamEngagement

Feedback isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a powerful tool that helps us meet expectations and earn trust. Seeking feedback shows a commitment to growth and a willingness to align our efforts with the team's goals. It’s about understanding different perspectives, refining our approach, and continuously improving. The true strength lies not just in listening to feedback but in acting on it, using it to build stronger connections and elevate our performance to the next level. #FeedbackMatters #BuildingTrust #CareerGrowth
