Time flies when you’re passionate about what you do! It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since I embarked on this incredible journey with Cue. 🚀 Some additions to slide 4: In the ever-evolving landscape of operations, the true trailblazers aren’t merely followers of established wisdom. They’re the ones who dig deeper, question assumptions, and fearlessly challenge the status quo. 🌟 For example, Michael E. Porter, His recent work sometimes challenges his own initial theories. Innovation thrives on questioning the familiar. 🤔 Shuji Nakamura, With 500+ publications and 300 patents, he exemplifies the spirit of continuous exploration. 📈💡 Jeff Bezos, Back in 1994, he dared to sell books online when the world was skeptical. Now, look at Amazon! 📚🌐 The key is to embrace Continuous Learning, stay curious! Invest time in understanding systems, processes, and trends. Be up-to-date, but don’t stop there—apply that knowledge to real-world scenarios. Recognize that change is inevitable. Be willing to unlearn and relearn when better information emerges, and like a scientist in the lab, always test your hypotheses. What works? What needs adjustment? If you’re still citing papers from 5 years ago, you’re just chasing a grade. Seek knowledge and site recent studies!
Today we'd like to introduce you to Shingai Sharlton Gunha, our Head of Technical Operations. Shings has been with the crew for over 8 years and was our very first hire. We mean it when we say we would not be where we are today without this guy. Learn how he earned his nickname as 'rider of the night', the ins and out of technical operations at Cue, how being a father has impacted his work (for the good), and more 👇 https://lnkd.in/dJMhJGUS

Katy Perry rooting for my island home, Tasmania. Thanks to Minister Rockliff for pointing this out. ⬇️👀 Tasmania and State Sponsored Visas: ▶️⏭️ “””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””” Many clients have made a change from ‘the Mainland’ (rest of Australia) by relocating to Tasmania. Years ago, for many, it was due to perceived simpler processes and a higher chance to obtain a State Sponsored visa. However more and more I hear of genuine preference for the lifestyle here over crowded cities with traffic/parking issues, long work travel time, fast pace and so on. My work involves assisting clients in all states and territories but this post is about Tasmania. The Department of State Growth Tasmania has the following information on its website in relation to state sponsored visas (introduction only). ❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️ Applying for Tasmanian state nomination and applying for a visa are two separate processes. The Tasmanian Government assesses your application for state nomination and the Department of Home Affairs assesses your visa application. You must first create an Expression of Interest (EOI) in the Department of Home Affairs SkillSelect system. This will tell you if you meet the basic eligibility requirements for a skilled migration visa. After creating your EOI, you can register your interest in nomination from the Tasmanian Government on the Migration Tasmania Gateway. The most competitive candidates will then be invited to apply for Tasmanian nomination. (Note: they include: THE MOST COMPETITIVE CANDIDATES WILL THEN BE INVITED) ❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️ Most Registered Migration Agents are highly skilled and experienced at assisting clients with these applications. As each State/Territory can have very different requirements, that change regularly, my clients and others (before they sought qualified assistance) have reported confusion, refusals where basic requirements were overlooked. If managing your application without assistance it is essential you search for appropriate checklists to prepare and lodge 100% of the requirements. It can be a simple matter to lodge the applications without assistance - it depends on your knowledge, skills and sometimes luck! LOOK FOR THE RIGHT CHECKLIST FOR 1) the Department of Home Affairs visa type 2) the DHA visa stream 3) the DHA Expression of interest 4) if you haven’t obtained a skills assessment, then your assessor requirements 5) the overarching State/territory nomination 6) the particular State/territory nomination stream As these applications are competitive, I like to give them extra care and attention, adding key focal points to highlight my clients’ skills and abilities. 💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠 ⚠️What does ‘most competitive’ mean? ⚠️ 💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠 Ask me, I’m happy to explain. jk@aattainmigration.com LinkedIn message Phone call: 0491058960 (but let’s schedule a time beforehand) or office:0361730517
I didn't think i'd ever get to say this, but I'm with Katy Perry 😂

Calm and collected on the surface, absolute chaos underneath. 🌊🦆 Ever been there? Me too—recently tasked with editing the behind-the-scenes content for a TVC. Now, I'm no editor, and Premiere Pro isn’t my go-to tool, so the imposter syndrome was real. Especially with such talented editors at STORM+SHELTER 🎬🎥 The brief? Create multiple deliverables: long-form for YouTube and LinkedIn, and short-form for TikTok and Instagram. I had no clue what was on the BTS hard drive... gold? Or something I’d have to roll in glitter? 👀💩✨ I approached it by making selects and breaking them into categories: Setup, Direction, Action, B-roll, Fun, and Talking. I don’t know if that was the “right” way, but it worked for me. As I went along, I mentally flagged moments that stood out, piecing them together into little narratives. 🎞️ I then split the selects by each advert—Jamjar, Gardener, and Camping. This helped me create chapters within the main edit, giving it more structure. Things seemed to be clicking. I even found myself giggling at some of the stories I’d put together and thought, if it’s funny to me, it’ll be funny to someone else, so I went with my gut.🫃 For the social edits, I wanted them to stand out—unique pieces, not just cut-downs of the long-form version. I saved some of the more interesting sound bites, focusing on different elements of the production in each, to make sure they grabbed attention and offered something fresh. Once everything was done and exported, I watched them all back and thought... Have I messed this up? I’d been rewatching The Office (US) and suddenly felt like I’d made a mockumentary. But hey, go with your gut, it's funny... right?? Please be funny... 😬😥 Turns out, The Office was the perfect inspiration! I got great constructive feedback and some super positive praise from people I admire at STORM+SHELTER, as well as a big thumbs up from the directors, agency, and client. PHEW. Looking back, I’m really proud of the result! I’ve never thought about editing as a creative form before—shaping moments, tweaking gaps and pauses to evoke a feeling. Annoyingly, its another thing I'll add to the list of things I'll always be on the watch out for! 👀🍿 So, try something outside your usual wheelhouse—you might enjoy it! If you’ve got any tips for making selects or approaching an edit, I’d love to hear them. 🎥💡 Special shout out to Alex Bull for the lovely BTS footage!! You made my job a whole lot easier! 🙌
🧐 𝐻𝒪𝒲 𝒟𝒪 𝒯𝐻𝐸𝒴 𝒟𝒪 𝐼𝒯 𝒯𝐻𝒪? 🧐 Well, check out this fun bit of BTS from our recent shoot for Transport for Wales with Golley Slater and you'll get a glimpse for sure ✨ It features some insights from Director duo That Jam, a look at the kit we shot it all on, and a cheeky look at how 𝖇𝖎𝖇𝖑𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖑 that wind and rain machine ended up being ⛈️ I also get a bit overzealous about the snails. 🐌 Deffo gotta remember to make these more often!
