Most Important Design Tip: “When you design for everyone, you end up designing for no one.” Let’s face it — trying to please the whole world with your design is like throwing a dart blindfolded. The key to nailing it? Focus! Here’s the playbook: 1) Know your end users – Who are they? What makes them tick? 2) Understand their problems – What’s bothering them? How can you be their hero? 3) Build a solution – Your design should be like a puzzle piece that fits perfectly in their world. 4) Solve that problem – No problem? No users. No users? No business. Simple math! Remember: No users, no business. So, get specific, solve problems, and watch your design work wonders! #designers #designtips #business

It’s hard to deny that nearly every aspect of our lives is now tied to the online world. Yet, countless individuals remain locked out of essential services and information due to inaccessible web design. This exclusion is not just inconvenient; it’s fundamentally unfair. Inclusive web design is a commitment to ensuring every user can navigate, interact, and engage with digital content seamlessly. Here are seven actionable principles to guide us toward true digital inclusivity: #1 Make it EQUITABLE: Ensure core features are usable by everyone, emphasizing inclusivity in all design elements. #2 Design for FLEXIBILITY: Create adaptable interfaces that meet a diverse range of user needs across devices. #3 Keep it SIMPLE and INTUITIVE: Break down complex features into straightforward designs, making navigation user-friendly. #4 Present PERCEPTIBLE information: Clearly convey information, ensuring it’s easily understood by all, especially where details are crucial. #5 ANTICIPATE errors: Design with the expectation of user mistakes and provide intuitive solutions for easy correction. #6 MINIMIZE physical effort: Ensure interactions require minimal effort, enhancing the overall user experience. #7 Allow SPACE for access: Design interactive elements to be easily reachable, accommodating diverse devices and user requirements. By championing these principles, we can pave the way for a digital space that uplifts all voices. Amit

People ignore designs that ignore people. Frank Chimero said this. What does it mean for your business? It means design is not just about looking good. It’s about understanding the people using it. → Address their needs. → Speak to their motivations. → Make it easy for them to engage. Effective design centers around real people, not trends. Want more engagement on your website? Put your users first. Is your website designed with people in mind?

To build a successful design system, start by setting outcome-oriented goals that align with your organisation’s mission. When defining your goals, ask yourself: ➡️ What does your business do? ➡️ What problem do you want to solve? ➡️ What are the user needs, internally and externally? ➡️ What results you want to see? ➡️ What countries do you operate in? ➡️ What are the accessibility implications? ➡️ What is your technology stack? ➡️ What will this mean for the brand? These questions will help you define non-goals too — knowing what to de-prioritise is just as important. #DesignSystems #WebDevelopment #GoalSetting

"Design" is a broad term that (as a verb) encompasses making or planning anything. Everyone does it. 💎 Your version of design isn't special in it's own right. 🔨 Businesses won't fail if not lead by your version of design. 🧙♂️ Your version of design is not a magic cure all for common problems. ⚖ There exist valuable and worthless types of your version of design. 🦄 You are not your version of design. #uxdesign #productdesign
