One benefit of a brand trip like this that I don’t see discussed is: nurturing the brand’s influencer community in order to optimize loyalty, affinity, and long-tail impact. While the trip itself (and coverage thereof) may not have the direct or desired impact on consumers, it definitely has the hallmarks of thinking more strategically about growing influencer loyalty. 1) cross pollinating different levels of influencers is a benefit (especially for emerging creators). 2) inviting influencers to a launch event is a perk, as they feel invited behind the scenes, made to feel part of the brand. 3) experiential opportunities expand the footprint and options for coverage (no pun intended) and serve to engage the influencers more than any PDF brief. #influencermarketing #communitybuilding
