The next decade is set to be a Golden Era for Batteries, with lithium-based batteries leading the way in powering our energy freedom. Key Components and Materials in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) Batteries: 1. Cathode: Lithium Carbonate or Lithium Hydroxide, Iron Phosphate, Conductive Carbon Coating 2. Anode: Natural or Synthetic Graphite, with Silicon sometimes added 3. Electrolyte: Lithium Hexafluorophosphate (LiPF₆) and Organic Solvents (e.g., ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate) 4. Separator: Polypropylene (PP) or Polyethylene (PE), often with a Ceramic Coating 5. Current Collectors: Aluminum Foil (for cathode) and Copper Foil (for anode) 6. Battery Case & Safety Components: Aluminum or Steel Casing, Polymer for pouch cell designs If you know of any publicly listed companies in India manufacturing these materials or components, please share their names! These companies could represent excellent investment opportunities, with the battery sector poised for substantial growth in the years to come. Sabareesan Palaniswamy, sumit aggarwal, A. K.
